Was ich direkt sagen kann: Für mich bietet E-Learning die maximale Flexibilität und es gibt für mich persönlich keinen Punkt, der für das Klassenzimmer sprechen würde. Aber schauen wir uns das mal objektiv an.
E-Learning bietet unheimlich viel Flexibilität, da die Lernenden ihren eigenen Zeitplan gestalten und von überall aus lernen können. Eine breite Palette von Ressourcen wie interaktive Übungen, Videos und Podcasts steht online, sogar kostenlos, zur Verfügung und personalisierte Lernpfade können den individuellen Bedürfnissen angepasst werden.
Was gegen diese Punkte spricht ist der Onlineunterricht mit einem Lehrer. Sobald man geeignete Termine finden muss, ist man nicht mehr ganz so frei.
Weiterhin spielt bei dem Punkt "von überall aus" das Thema Internet eine entscheidende Rolle. Nicht in jedem hinterletzten Kaff der Welt kann ich meinen Laptop aufklappen und das Teams Meeting öffnen. Jedoch überall auf der Welt noch eher, als im deutschen Hinterlandkaff. ;)
E-Learning kann weiterhin die persönliche Interaktion einschränken, was zu einem Gefühl der Isolation führen kann. Ich arbeite am liebsten mit Teilnehmern, die ihre Kamera eingeschaltet haben und aktiv teilnehmen, sich ausprobieren. Doch eine kleine Menge der Menschen sitzt gern für sich allein am Laptop, ohne gesehen zu werden und hält es auch nicht für nötig, aktiv teilzunehmen. Hier gerät das E-Learning an seine Grenzen. Wenn die Teilnehmer einfach nicht reagieren, kann ich nicht einfach an ihren Tisch gehen und sie direkt ansprechen, wie im Klassenzimmer.
Im traditionellen Klassenzimmerunterricht ermöglicht die direkte Interaktion zwischen Lehrer und Schülern sowie zwischen den Schülern untereinander einen aktiven Austausch von Ideen und fördert die sozialen Fähigkeiten. Sofortiges Feedback und gezielte Unterstützung sind ebenfalls Vorteile des Klassenzimmers. Wobei ich auch in meinem Unterricht versuche, immer direkt Feedback zu geben. Dass es auch anders geht, sehe ich, wenn ich mich als Schülerin in meine Spanischklasse begebe. Da wird teilweise gar nichts korrigiert.
Zudem sind die verfügbaren Ressourcen im Klassenzimmer möglicherweise begrenzter als beim E-Learning. Spontan ein Video starten? Etwas googeln, diese und jene Übung öffnen, weil es gerade passt? Schwer, wenn man mit gedruckten Büchern und altmodischen Arbeitsblättern arbeitet.
Die meisten meiner Teilnehmer und auch ich als Lernende, nehmen ihre Stunden zwischendurch, wenn es eben gerade passt. In der Mittagspause, früh morgens mit dem ersten Kaffee, oder wenn gerade kein anderes Meeting ansteht. Nicht vorstellbar, dies zu ermöglichen, wenn man erst in eine Schule fahren müsste.
Auch, wenn manchmal mein Internet im hinterletzten deutschen Kaff versagt und die Stunde für fünf Minuten unterbrochen werden muss: E-learning bleibt mein Favorit. Für mich als Trainerin und aus Sicht der Lernenden.
