On the other hand, the dragon warriors that had been released were about to arrive to the empire, many of them were calm while some others were somewhat worried, among that group Selena and Gloridax were included. Their thoughts were difficult to deal with, on the one hand returning alive was an important achievement but having failed in their mission was worse, they had no idea what Arius and Prince Julian's reaction would be.

The closer they got the tension increased, Gloridax had resolved to defend Selena even if it cost him his life, it was difficult for him to think that his return would be taken in the best way, however Selena had decided that returning was the best, the other option was to attack the remaining kingdoms but because of the casualties and their own wounds they desisted from that.

Arius and Julian talked with Kitty, it was necessary to launch a countermeasure but the power of the empire had been weakened thanks to the incursion of Arkemis, so they decided that it would be best to wait and delay the invasion for a while.

With this concluded, peace in the praetorian universe would be maintained for another period of time, the kingdoms continued to rule without problems, and Lux Vega continued to watch from above waiting for the precise moment for his appearance.

The dragons learned their lesson and assumed that the prophecies would not be so easy to fulfill after all, but their intentions of conquest have not disappeared, on the contrary, their desire to conquer everything has increased and will soon manifest itself.

Al escuchar estas palabras Peakrider se molestó y le respondió: Muchas personas fueron afectadas en nuestro reino a causa de su ataque, incluso algunos murieron. Cuando supe que los habías capturado estuve tranquilo porque te conozco Scarred, ¿acaso te has vuelto blando?

Scarred le miro y le dijo: No me gusta pelear con enemigos ya derrotados, además que gracia tiene vencer a alguien que ya se ha dado por vencido, lamento mucho lo ocurrido con tu gente pero he tomado mi decisión en base a lo que te he mencionado.

A mí no me engañas le dijo el caballero alado, estoy seguro que tramas algo, esa faceta de misericordia no va contigo.

No soy como tú, derramar sangre sin sentido no es lo mío, pronto aprenderemos más de los dragones, quizás vuelvan con un ejército más grande o pueden que se queden encerrados en su territorio.

Al oír esto, Peakrider pensó dentro de sí que Scarred los había dejado ir para descubrir su ubicación, entonces le dijo: Cuando sepas donde se encuentra su imperio házmelo saber. Dicho esto se dio una vuelta y se marchó.

Scarred lo observo y a su vez dijo en voz baja: no has perdido tu toque Peakrider, sigues siendo alguien muy perspicaz, luego de eso se quedó mirando al cielo en su palacio.

Por otro lado, los guerreros dragones que habían sido liberados estaban por llegar al imperio, muchos de ellos estaban tranquilos mientras que algunos otros algo preocupados, entre ese grupo Selena y Gloridax estaban incluidos. Sus pensamientos eran difíciles de abordar, por un lado regresar con vida era un logro importante pero haber fracasado en su misión era peor, no tenían idea cual sería la reacción de Arius y el Príncipe Julián.

Mientras más se acercaban aumentaba la tensión, Gloridax había resuelto defender a Selena aun si eso le costaba la vida, era difícil para el pensar que su regreso seria tomado de la mejor manera, sin embargo Selena había decidido que regresar era lo mejor, la otra opción era atacar los reinos restantes pero a causa de las bajas y sus propias heridas desistieron de eso.

Cuando llegaron a la entrada del reino se detuvieron por un momento, Selena dijo en alta voz; Recuerden que yo soy la responsable, asumiré los resultados de nuestra misión sin importar que pueda suceder, en ese momento el rostro de tranquilidad de los jinetes cambio, por un momento habían olvidado que no lograron atacar los cinco reinos, solo estaban pendientes de su vida, entonces algunos sugirieron que mintiesen a sus superiores, a fin de cuentas no había forma de saber lo que había acontecido.

Selena se opuso y les respondió: como he dicho hace un momento, yo asumiré las consecuencias, así que tranquilos, sigamos adelante y entremos.

El ejército enviado ingreso al imperio, muchos habitantes al verlos se alegraron pero algunos decían entre ellos: son muy pocos los que regresaron, y se preguntaban si eran muy fuertes los otros reinos. Los jinetes hicieron caso omiso y siguieron rápidamente al palacio donde los estaban esperando.

Cuando llegaron fue dado aviso a Arius, quien pasado un tiempo ordeno recibirlos en el patio real, los soldados les indicaron la orden, entonces Selena y Gloridax junto a los jinetes fueron al lugar. Allí se encontraban Arius, el Príncipe Julián y Kitty, la gran invocadora.

Rápidamente se postraron, Arius les pidió levantarse y luego de eso les pregunto: ¿Y bien, cuales son las nuevas, que tan fuertes son los demás reinos?

Selena dio un paso al frente y dijo: Son fuertes mi señor, están preparados para la batalla

Al escuchar la respuesta de Selena, Arius y el príncipe se sorprendieron pero Kitty estaba tranquila y serena. Dame más detalles del asalto dijo Arius.

Selena procedió a hablar, y mientras les contaba sus rostros se llenaban de un mayor asombro, pero al oír que solo fueron a dos reinos se molestaron. Selena respondió: Lo siento señor.

Lo sientes? Dijo Arius, luego prosiguió, la misión ha fracasado, ahora los reinos no temerán sino que pensaran que pueden hacernos frente sin dudar, además les perdonaron la vida, eso en tiempos de guerra significa deuda con el enemigo, ese Scarred fue muy astuto al hacer eso, habría sido mejor que los mataran.

Cuando escucharon eso temieron por su vida, pero el Príncipe Julián les dijo que no sintieran temor, que no morirían. Luego les pidió que se marcharan. Al hacerlo se sintieron aliviados, pero a su vez entristecidos porque se había declarado la misión como fallida y muchos de sus soldados habían muerto.

Selena tranquila, dijo Gloridax, hicimos lo que pudimos, no es tu culpa, los jinetes también le animaron, ella lloro y les agradeció, después se perdieron entre la multitud cada uno por su camino.

Arius y Julián conversaban con Kitty, era necesario lanzar una contramedida pero el poder del imperio había sido debilitado gracias a la incursión de Arkemis, por lo tanto decidieron que lo mejor sería esperar y retrasar la invasión por un tiempo.

Concluido esto, la paz en el universo pretoriano se mantendría por otro periodo de tiempo, los reinos siguieron gobernando sin problemas, y Lux Vega seguía observando desde lo alto esperando el momento preciso para su aparición.

Los dragones aprendieron la lección y asumieron que las profecías no serían tan fáciles de cumplir después de todo, pero sus intenciones de conquista no han desaparecido, todo lo contrario, su deseo de conquistarlo todo ha aumentado y pronto se manifestara.
