(DE/EN) hab mich mit meiner alten Nähmaschine angefreundet.. / I've made friends with my old sewing machine.

Es hat ein paar viele Stunden gedauert, bis ich mit meiner Nähmaschine Freunde wurde, aber nun ist die Freundschaft gefestigt.
Ich war mir anfangs gar nicht so sicher, ob sie überhaupt noch funktioniert, weil ihre Nadel sich nicht bewegt hat und sie auch schon ein höheres Alter als ich hat, undzwar Baujahr 1999.
Dann bin ich ein paar Schritten gefolgt, wie es in meiner Anleitung steht und wie mir @themyscira an Informationen überreichen konnte, sofern ich es verstand. Zudem habe ich mir mal ein paar Videos auf Youtube angeschaut um zu sehen, wie andere mit der Maschine arbeiten.
Ich habe mich damit beschäftigt, welcher Teil der Maschine wie heißt, wo es ist und was seine Funktion ist. Dann habe ich sie gereinigt und geölt.

Um mich ein wenig an das Fingerspitzengefühl heranzutasten, habe ich erstmals ein paar gerade Linien genäht. Der Anfang war echt schwierig, dass die Nadel nicht abbricht, der Garn nicht reißt, beim Unterfaden es nicht verknoten oder verwurstelt ist, und natürlich den Stoff gerade zu halten..
Ich habe so viele Fehler gemacht und sie selbst behoben, dass ich jetzt für fast jedes Problem eine Lösung weiß. Also schon praktisch, wenn auch meine Geduld damit erprobt wurde.

Ich habe mich dann dazu entschieden auf einem Stoff ein Muster zu malen und diesen mit der Nähmaschine nachzufahren ohne Ober- und Unterfaden zu nutzen, sodass ich nur lerne, wie man das Stoff am besten in den Händen hält. Denn die Maschine zieht den Stoff von selbst nach hinten und die Aufgabe des Anwenders ist es, dass es in die richtige Richtung gezogen wird.

It took me a few hours to become friends with my sewing machine, but now the friendship is solidified.
At first I wasn't sure if it was still working at all because its needle wasn't moving and it was older than me, being built in 1999.
Then I followed a few steps, as it says in my instructions and as @themyscira could provide me with information, as far as I understood it. I also watched a few videos on YouTube to see how others work with the machine.
I looked at which part of the machine is called what, where it is and what its function is. Then I cleaned and oiled it.

In order to get to grips with the fingering a little, I sewed a few straight lines for the first time. At the beginning it was really difficult to make sure that the needle didn't break, the thread didn't break, the bobbin thread wasn't knotted or tangled, and of course to keep the fabric straight.
I've made so many mistakes and fixed them myself that I now know a solution to almost every problem. So it's practical, even if it has tested my patience.

I then decided to draw a pattern on a fabric and trace it with the sewing machine without using the top and bobbin thread, so that I only learn how to hold the fabric in my hands. Because the machine pulls the fabric back by itself and the user's job is to make sure it is pulled in the right direction.

und dann habe ich mich darum gekümmert Löcher in Klamotten zuzunähen:

Den Stoff habe ich mit Pins an die Stelle gefestigt, sodass ich eine leichte Bleistiftlinie auf den Stoff malen konnte, wo ich es dann vernähe.

Von Innen sieht die Naht sogar recht sauber aus, doch von Außen so najaa, ok.

Ach und folgende Tasche ist außerdem ein Ergebnis von der Strickerei vor 1-2 Wochen:

sieht ein bisschen aus wie eine Bauchtasche.. könnte ich sogar noch zu so einer umfunktionieren.

Oh and the following bag is also the result of knitting 1-2 weeks ago:

looks a bit like a fanny pack... I could even turn it into one.

Irgendwann wenn ich Bock hab und auch weiß, was ich in die Tasche verwahre, nähe ich noch ein Knopf dran :)

Habt ihr coole Ideen, was ich mir so nähen kann, was auch eine Funktionalität hat? Also ich möchte mir praktisches Zeug selbst machen, was ich auch tatsächlich trage und nutze, anstatt dass es nur rumliegt.

Do you have any cool ideas for things I can sew that are also functional? I want to make myself practical stuff that I actually wear and use instead of just lying around.
