Splinterlands share my Battle | The Mushroom Kindom [EN - DE]

Prices for Chaos Legion packs on the secondary market have dropped to under 1.50 per pack. Since I had some liquid Hive "lying around", I decided to buy a few. Potions I had more than enough and it was worth gambling. I was rewarded with my first Chaos Legion Gold Foil Legendary: Queen Mycelia.

Jackpot! Not only is the Queen one of the most expensive CL Legendarys, she is also very useful. And at the current price of around $60, I'm not thinking of selling her. The slogan here is also: Hodl! Especially since I can use the card very well myself.

Jackpot! Nicht nur ist die Queen eine der teuersten CL Legenedarys, sie ist auch sehr nützlich. Und beim aktuellen Preis von rund 60 $ denke ich nicht daran sie zu verkaufen. Die Devise lautet auch hier: Hodl! Zumal ich die Karte selbst sehr gut gebrauchen kann.

This week's challenge is, appropriately enough, also about an Earth Splinter card. Namely Mycelic Infantry. This is also from the Chaos Legion set. What immediately stands out is the high damage and many hit points. On top of that there is some Armor and the Shield ability. At 8 mana, the card isn't exactly cheap, and of course there's another fly in the ointment: speed. 1 point attack speed and it stays like that until the max level of the card. Later on, Giant-Killer and Enrage are added as abilities.

The card is well playable in some rule sets. For example, I always use it with Reverse Speed, but it is also useful with Aim-True or Meele Mayhem.

In der Challenge für diese Woche geht es passender Weise dann auch um eine Karte des Earth Splinters. Nämlich um Mycelic Infantry. Auch diese ist aus dem Chaos Legion Set. Was sofort auffällt, ist hoher Schade und viele Trefferpunkte. Obendrauf gibts noch etwas Armor und die Fähigkeit Shield. Mit 8 Mana ist die Karte nicht gerade günstig und natürlich gibt es noch einen weiteren Hacken an der Sache: Die Geschwindigkeit. 1 Punkt Angriffsgeschwindigkeit und das bleibt so bis zum max. Level der Karte. Später kommen noch Giant-Killer und Enrage als Fähigkeiten hinzu.

Die Karte ist in einige Rule-Sets gut spielbar. Ich verwende sie z.B. bei Reverse Speed immer, aber auch bei Aim-True oder Meele Mayhem ist sie brauchbar.

Reglen | Rules

Reverse Speed and Trample with 29 mana. Fire and Water not playable. For my deck there is only one option in this combination and that is Earth with Obisidian. If Fire was playable, that would certainly be an option as well. There are also some cards of the rather slow variety. Dragon would also work, but I don't have the cards.

Summoner

My main splinter is Water, but I also like Earth more and more. At some point I realized that I can handle these two splinters well and so I decided to expand Earth a little better. That was a good decision. Especially because I often play Earth in the brawls with Quora. One disadvantage of the strong Earth magic cards is that they are rather slow. This is of course an advantage in reverse speed like here!

Mein Haupt-Splinter ist ja Water, aber Earth wird mir auch immer Sympathischer. Irgendwann habe ich festgestellt, dass ich mit diesen beiden Splintern gut klar komme und so habe ich entschieden Earth ein wenig besser auszubauen. Das war eine gute Entscheidung. Gerade auch weil ich in den Brawls mit Quora oft Earth spiele. Ein Nachteil der starken Earth-Magie Karten ist, dass sie eher langsam sind. Das ist bei Reverse-Speed wie hier natürlich ein Vorteil!

Tank

This tank is made for reverse speed. Its weakness is its vulnerability to magic damage. But with the healers in the green team and his 9 hit points, this shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Dieser Tank ist wie für Reverse Speed gemacht. Seine Schwäche ist die Anfälligkeit für Magieschaden. Aber mit den Heilern im grünen Team und seinen 9 Trefferpunkten, sollte auch das kein all zu grosses Problem sein.

I hire the Sporcerer on a regular basis. Rust is a useful ability and with Obsidian the mushroom does 3 magic damage. Speed 1, so that fits too!

Den Sporcerer miete ich mir regelmässig hinzu. Rust ist eine nützliche Fähigkeit und mit Obsidian verursacht der Pilz 3 Magieschaden. Geschwindigkeit 1, dass passt also auch! Leider ist die Karte relativ teuer.

To the page rabble, here comes the queen! Freshly printed, this gruesome beauty wants to be used right away. I already know that I will have a hard time selling this card one day. But as long as I have it in my deck, it will be played regularly. In this match, it adds a little more Armor to my ranks. It also helps against Sneak and Opportunity.

Zur Seite Pöbel, hier kommt die Königin! Frisch gedruckt will diese schauerliche Schönheit direkt eingesetzt werden. Ich weiss jetzt schon, dass ich mich mit dem Verkauf dieser Karte einmal sehr schwer tun werde. Aber solange ich sie in meinem Deck habe, wird sie Regelmässig gespielt. In diesem Match sorgt sie für etwas mehr Armor auf meinen Reihen. Das hilft auch gegen Sneak und Opportunity.

Position 5

It remains a mana point and my backline is still almost without protection. So the Morphoid is used as a backline tank against sneak cards. With his thorns he can not only block them but also weaken them.

Es bleibt ein Manapunkt und meine Backline ist bisher noch fast ohne Schutz. Also kommt der Morphoid als Backlinetank gegen Sneak Karten zum Einsatz. Mit seinen Dornen kann er diese nicht nur Blocken sondern auch gleich noch schwächen.

Der Kampf | The Battle

The opponent has also chosen Earth with Obsidian. However, the setup is a little different. With the Spirit Hoarder and Dr. Blight, there are 2 strong cards on the field. Fortunately, they are only level 1.
The advantage of leveled cards is, as always, great. What can be seen further is how my Sporcerer's Rust ensures that the opposing Queen's Armor is cancelled. That's why the card is so useful!

Der Gegner hat sich ebenfalls für Earth mit Obsidian entschieden. Allerdings ist das Set-up ein wenig anders. Mit dem Spirit-Hoarder und Dr. Blight sind 2 starke Karten auf dem Feld. Glücklicherweise sind sie nur Level 1. Der Vorteil von gelevelten Karten ist, wie immer, gross. Was weiter zu sehen ist, ist wie das Rust meines Sporcerers dafür sorgt, dass der Armor der gegnerischen Queen aufgehoben wird. Deshalb ist die Karte so nützlich!

Nach Runde 1 ist der Tank meines Gegners bereits nicht mehr da und auf der Tankposition findet sich der arme Fiend...ohne Armor... Mein Tank wird kurzen Prozess machen, leider wurde er selbst aber von Dr. Blight mit Affliction belegt. Ich werde also selbst bald keinen Tank mehr haben.

Der Schlagabtausch geht munter weiter und die Reihen lichten sich auf beiden Seiten. Durch die höheren Kartenlevel bin ich aber etwas im Vorteil.

Unfortunately, my queen was also afflicted by Blight...so I'm unlucky in this fight. But the crazy goblin is fortunately still here and can win the duel for me.

Meine Königin wurde leider auch von Blight mit Affliction belegt...da habe ich in diesem Kampf Pech. Aber der verrückte Goblin ist zum Glück auch noch hier und kann für mich das Duell gewinnen.

With my classic reverse speed setup, I often win these games. The Earth Splinter is very good for this and I also enjoy playing them.
In this battle, the advantage of higher card levels helped me of course, but I often play against decks with Gold Max cards myself, it's just part of the game!

Mit meiner klassischen Reverse-Speed Aufstellung gewinne diese Spiele oft. Der Earth-Splinter ist dafür sehr gut geeignet und ich spiele diesen auch sehr gerne. In diesem Kampf hat mir der Vorteil der höheren Kartenlevel natürlich auch geholfen, aber ich spiele oft selbst gegen Decks mit Gold-Max Karten, dass gehört einfach zum Spiel!
