Another challenge, another season goes by, upcoming news about the first ever Double-Element Monster and a lot going on the Hive ecosystem! But as usual trying to publish my challenge post before the deadline 😂

Description
  • All Monsters have the Magic Reflect ability
  • Better pick Melee & Ranged Monsters

For this ruleset we have a couple of Axes: Either going for the straightforward strategy by avoiding Magic Damage Monsters Or add a little element of surprise and going for the unexpected play!

Let's have a look at some of the key abilities that can have an impact on this kind of ruleset:

Offensive Abilities
Defensive Abilities

But if we want to surprise our enemy: use this!

Shield and Armor are extremely effective in these kind of ruleset since it limits the damage from the Melee and Ranged Damage, thus making Rust and Shatter even more important.

Reflection damage Thorns and Return Fire are a Go-To of course, one of the interesting combo to use is:

SummonerTank

It's true that you'll suffer from the backlash of CounterSpell but the Void Armor will absorb that damage while leaving the enemy at a dilemna: Missing the shot or get the reflected damage in the hard way!

Into The Battle!

Unlimited Mana! & 4 Elements available: Water, Earth, Death and Dragon. Keeping in mind that enemy will less likely play Magic, and without giving it too much thought, I've went for the highest damage possible using my favourite summoner: Possibilus

CardsDescription
A great offensive summoner for Melee Heavy composition for the right Ruleset: Equal Opportunity; Trample is key for a 2nd attack performance
A must have Promo Card; 3 attacks; Nice Speed, Tons of Health and most importantly: Protect, going full Damage doesn't mean we can't afford some Defense Right?
4 (+1) Melee Damage, Decent Tankiness and Pierce, 10 Mana cost is worth it for this monster to cut through Armor like Butter!
We can't play a high Mana battle without putting this Monster in action: 3 (+1) Melee Damage + Decent Speed AND Double Strike for a total of 8 Damage (or more if Trample is triggered)
Amazing stats in term on Attack (4 Melee + 4 Speed) and Defense (9+2 Health) + Opportunity! we can't pass behind any occasion to put this Legendary Monster into action
Going full Damage!? Why not give it even MORE damage with Inspire, and it can attack with the given Ruleset
Keeping in mind that enemy might follow the same strategy, it doesn't hurt to nerf to upcoming enemy damage with Demoralize. Ohh it can attack too given the ruleset!

My team too OP ?

Probably yes in Silver League but who knows in Gold+, I'll be in trouble if I faced Mylor Crawling + Tank with Shield for example, Having a Protect monster is very important in this kind of battles as one attack can change the dynamic of the battle!

Any changes I can make on my team?

If I was in gold+, I would like to try Dragons!

  • Quix or Daria as summoners
  • Agor Longtail as Taunt
  • Desert Dragon with Pierce + Trample and tons of Damage
  • Dragon jumper already with opportunity
  • Some inspire and heavy damage Monster

Let me know in the comments if anyone tried a similar comp 😁
