I wonder how you can pinpoint the right price when the market goes down as it can continue to do and buy the dip doesn't seem real anymore. Any tactics on this?

trading and investing are different.
I would not start trading if you are not comfortable with it. It can go from rekt to rekter. Also you need to define exit point before you start trade ( or exit strategy).
Buy tokens you like and hold, is the easiest :) Remember, dog coin mindset :P
