W niedzielę odwiedziliśmy moją Mamę, która przebywa w Śląskim Centrum Rehabilitacji i Prewencji po przebytym zawale serca. Obejmuje ją program KOS - kompleksowej opieki po zawale - gdzie w przeciągu 2 tygodni od wypisu ze szpitala pacjent trafia do ośrodka, w którym ma zapewnioną skoordynowaną opiekę medyczną, rehabilitacyjną i edukacyjną.

Po wypiciu wspólnej kawy, a także po zjedzeniu ośrodkowego obiadu przeze mnie i Tatę (bardzo pyszna, domowa kuchnia, w bufecie oferują to samo, co kuracjusze dostają na stołówce, w cenie 18 zł za dwa dania), Mama poszła na swój obiad, a my poszliśmy w tym czasie na spacer, rozejrzeć się po Uzdrowisku.

ŚCRiP nie jest jedynym sanatorium w okolicy. Oprócz tego jest sporo hoteli prywatnych o profilu uzdrowiskowym. To totalne zagłębie uzdrowisk. Sanatoryjne piramidy zdobyły zresztą uznanie na całym świecie. Ideą ich powstania było zapewnienie kuracjuszom wypoczynku bliskiego naturze, stąd pomysł na zaprojektowanie ośrodków, które nie będą inwazyjnie wdzierać się w górski krajobraz. Ścięte boki piramid nawiązują więc po prostu do zboczy gór.
Film „Uzdrowisko. Architektura Zawodzia” w reżyserii Ewy Trzcionki zwyciężył w konkursie na najlepszy film w odbywającym się w Lizbonie przeglądzie filmów o architekturze, pokonując kilkudziesięciu konkurentów.
O prawdziwej unikatowości architektury Zawodzia w skali światowej świadczy też chociażby to, że została ona omówiona w słynnym World Architecture of 20 th Century wydawanym przez Phaidon.

The truncated sides of the pyramids simply refer to the slopes of the mountains.
The film "Spa. "Architecture of Zawodzie" directed by Ewa Trzcionka won the competition for the best film in the festival of films about architecture held in Lisbon, defeating several dozen competitors.
The true uniqueness of Zawodzie's architecture on a global scale is proven by the fact that it was discussed in the famous World Architecture of the 20th Century published by Phaidon.

Większość ośrodków przeżyła już lata świetności. Nic dziwnego, powstały w latach 70-tych, za Ziętka. Mimo to, jest to przyjemna okolica.

Most of the centers have already experienced their glory days. No wonder, they were created in the 1970s, during Ziętek's reign. Still, it's a nice place.

Te zadaszenia nad oknami wyglądają tak, jakby wprost zapraszały do małej wspinaczki, czyż nie? ;) To powinien być ośrodek dla wyczynowców, a nie zawałowców :)

These canopies over the windows look like they're inviting you to climb a little, don't they? ;) This should be a center for athletes, not heart attack sufferers :)

Podczas krótkiego spaceru piramidy wyłaniają się zza piramid. Są wszędzie!

Niewątpliwe uroku scenerii dodają te kolorowe, a wciąż jeszcze dość bujne drzewa.

Dotarliśmy do najpotężniejszego chyba gmaszyska uzdrowiskowego w okolicy: Sanatorium Równica. Budynek przypomina ogromny statek z serii tych potężnych wycieczkowców i naprawdę jest to moloch na tle pozostałych, przecież też niemałych, hoteli i sanatoriów.

We reached what is probably the most powerful spa building in the area: Sanatorium Równica. The building resembles a huge ship from a series of these powerful cruise ships and it is truly a behemoth compared to the other, also quite small, hotels and sanatoriums.

Świetną sprawą jest długi, zamknięty z dwóch stron oknami korytarz spacerowy, w którym można - a jakże! spacerować - bez względu na to, jaka aura znajduje się na dworze. Przeszklenia z dwóch stron oferują wspaniały widok na las.

A great thing is the long walking corridor, closed on both sides with windows, where you can - and of course! walk - no matter what the weather is like outside. Glazing on both sides offers a wonderful view of the forest.

W parku przy sanatorium jest popiersie Ziętka - wskrzesiciela tradycji uzdrowiskowych Ustronia.

In the park next to the sanatorium there is a bust of Ziętek - the reviver of the spa traditions of Ustroń.

Przemiłe niedzielne popołudnie. Najlepsze zaś w tym wszystkim, że w oczach widać, że Mama wraca do zdrowia. Trochę narzeka, że strasznie ją tam męczą codziennymi treningami i zajęciami, ale naprawdę widać, że dobrze to na nią działa - i o to chodzi!

A lovely Sunday afternoon. The best thing is that in her eyes you can see that Mom is recovering. She complains a bit that they tire her out a lot with daily training and classes, but you can really see that it's working well for her - and that's the point!
