Compliments are kind of motivation and we should make it a point to always compliment each other

Greetings to all Hivians once again on this great platform, I am very excited to write and share with you another interesting topic for the w37e3 contest. Without much ado, I would set the ball rolling.

I once visited my friends sometime ago, and we were talking about the best compliments we had ever gotten.

One of my friends said that when he was a kid, his mom used to tell him that he was the most important person in her life. I think that's so sweet that it must have made him feel like he could do anything.

Another friend said she got told once that she had "the best laugh." That's such a simple compliment, but it made me want to laugh right then and there. It's hard to describe why something like that is so meaningful, but I think it's because you know it comes from someone who loves you deeply and sees everything good about you. Well, I would also share with you guys some of the compliments that I have also had and how I felt about them too.

The greatest compliment I have ever received was when my mom told me that she was proud of me. I had been working on a project for school, and the deadline was approaching fast. I had been working on it for weeks, and it was taking up all of my free time. It was due in just a few days, and by this point I was feeling overwhelmed by how much work there still was to do.

But one day, as I walked into the kitchen after getting home from school, my mom said "I'm so proud of you" with a big smile on her face. She told me how hard she knew it was for me to balance schoolwork with extra-curriculars and other day-to-day activities, but that she was so happy I was able to do it anyway. And she said that despite all my other responsibilities, she knew that if anyone could pull off this project in such a short amount of time and still get good grades on it, it would be me.

It's funny: when someone tells you they're proud of you, suddenly everything else seems like less of an issue like nothing else matters except what they think about you right then in that moment.

Again, another greatest compliment I ever received was when a teacher, who had been teaching for over 20 years, told me that I had made her job easier by being so well prepared and organized. I try to be well-prepared for any situation, but sometimes it's hard to do when there's so much information to learn and memorize. Being able to use my time more effectively has helped me achieve greater results in school.

Another greatest compliment I ever got was when someone said to me, "You're like a breath of fresh air." When they said that, I felt like I could do anything. It made me feel confident and empowered. It made me want to try new things and go after my dreams.

I've gotten compliments on my intelligence, but this one was different because it made me feel like it was okay for me to be myself like there are no limits on what I can accomplish in life.

It wasn't just the words that impacted me so much; it was also the way they delivered them with excitement and enthusiasm, as if they were genuinely happy for me. They said it with such enthusiasm that it made me excited too. And then, when they started telling me all sorts of things about themselves and their own lives what their dreams are and why they're pursuing them well, let's just say I felt like we had known each other forever, even though we'd only just met.

Lastly, the greatest compliment I ever received was when my kindergarten teacher told me I had a great imagination.

At the time, I was making up stories about my stuffed animals and drawing them. I thought that was just something kids did with no big deal. But my teacher told me how special it was to have an imagination like mine and that she wished she could draw like me.

I don't remember exactly what I did next, but I think it involved running around the classroom with my arms in the air shouting "Yessss!" at the top of my lungs.

Compliments are just like motivation and we should always try to compliment each other so as to make us happy and motivated to continue doing the good things. I hope that you all enjoyed my story behind my greatest compliment and we should also try to compliment others too when we get complimented by them.

This is my entry and I hope that it will be validated. Thank you all for your time and attention for going through my post.

Compliments are just like motivation

Exactly! that's what compliments are like. They are like motivation to people to do well... Even people that don't do well, get motivated to do their best effort when they are being complimented...

I am sure your mother's words would have felt really heart warming. The goal of almost every child is to make their parents' proud.

Complements are powerful, it boosts our self esteem. I think I live by the compliments of people to me each day. I never forget about those little moments. They keep me moving each day. Never forget about them especially the very one from the special woman that gave birth to you🤗
