The Jersey Devil! I remember being fascinated by the Tom Brown Tracker series and wishing I could visit the Pine Barren. Many of the things I learned from the books applied to the Wisconsin woods, too. No devils here, only a hodag.

Have you found the Hodag yet? When I lived in Philly I used to spend a lot of time in southern NJ so I know the area pretty well!
