How sad to see a beautiful game like Splinterlands become an idle game in the Wild Format...

Is creating a league just for bots really such a difficult choice to make?

It's the biggest pain in this game for me: the funniest format by far delivered to bots, and trying to force any player to spend thousands every couple of years. I honestly can't reason how this makes sense to the team, and yet it lingers, after all this time and the continuous outflow of players and lack of new ones.
