Keeping a low profile

What's up, everyone? I have already finished my post-graduation exam and got my result 1.5 months ago and my result was quite good and naturally I want to get a better job with a good salary, and I think there is nothing wrong with this kind of expectation, even if finding a job in my country is very difficult. I dropped my CV in a few companies because I wanted to apply after receiving my post-graduation certificate, which will come to my hand very soon. Additionally, I am trying to publish my research paper and discussing it with my supervisor. My post-graduation and that and right now I don't have any job and that means I am an unemployed person.

I don't have any problem with my unemployment, and neither are my family worried about it as my parents at least trust my ability. Everything was going well but yesterday one of my relatives visited here and started to show concern for no reason. That relative pretends to be concerned about me but actually, he is trying to mock me because of my unemployment. I guess this time the person came to my house only for this purpose. He has a son also who is the same age of mine and ended his post-graduation 2 years ago for a non-governmental university. Due to the lazy professor and covid 19 effect my post-graduation was delayed 3 years and there no way I blame myself for it, but I can blame my department professor for it as they were reasonable for my loss.

So, his (the relative) son completed post-graduation and found a job 3 months ago, if I guess correctly. He is saying that he knew that public universities cost too much time and that’s the reason he didn’t admit his son there. I found this logic totally nonsense. I know that his son also attends admission exams with me, but he wasn’t selected in any of public universities while I got the opportunity in several top universities of my country. But now it seems the relatives are trying to cover his son’s incompetence compared to me as he (relative’s son) is doing a job. I didn’t even drop my CV anywhere and so there is no chance of anywhere.

The person also said that I need to prepare for BCS exam for a government job like his son is preparing for it, but I have no interest in a government job as a government job is not so good when it comes to salary, but people are aggressive to find one because of some facilities and mostly for bribes. A government job holder can make huge money from bribes and that’s the reason most people want it, but I don’t have any intention to do that. And based on my understanding of his son’s ability and the efforts he makes seems very little and I am very confident that I can beat him in result even without preparation. I can say it based on my understanding, and I trust one my knowledge.

The person is trying to tell me I am wasting my time, and his son is earning money by doing job. The person seems very proud of his son, and I have no objection to it, but he thinks lowly about me, thinking that I am not capable of earn. As far as I know his son’s salary is very little. I guess the person doesn’t know that I do tuition (teaching students as home tutor) and my earnings from tuition combinedly in a month are far better than a good earning person in the beginner level by doing a job. Additionally, I have earnings from online, including cryptocurrency trading and my monthly earnings should be more than 4X of his son’s earnings. They don’t know about my earnings as I love to keep low profile as it gives me many advantages and I love to keep things secret as I think they don’t deserve to know and I told my parents to tell anyone about it long ago.

The relative boosting about his son in front of me like his son is the king. The person is arrogant, and he is just trying to make me feel how incapable I am. No normal person feels bad in such a situation but for me it’s not a big deal as I have a robotic heart and I don’t take things emotionally. I can insult the person indirectly if I show him my earnings and my capabilities and I can defeat him in logic showing how incapable his son is compared to me both financial and career perspective. As a debater, it’s a very easy thing for me. But I am not doing it for two reasons. One reason is wanting to keep my things secret to maintain a low profile as I am not going to get any profit by proving and the second reason is about the uncertainty of life. I don’t know what future holds for me doesn’t matter how capable I am now. So, I don’t want to be arrogant about it. Who knows, someday I may need the help of the person or his son? It’s good to be polite and humble and I am not losing anything here.

So right now, I am listening to his so-called advice carefully as he wants. I found the situation to be totally ridiculous. You might be wondering why I am writing this if I am not angry. There are two reasons for it. The first reason is that his action gave me a topic to write which can help me to improve my writing skill and the second reason is I expect to get some reward for this post after being published and it’s also my good from financial perspective. The person didn’t have good motive, but he ends up actually giving me benefit or I could use it in an effective way because of my positive mindset. Whatever it is, it’s for my good.
