One of my least favorite rules is Going to the Distance because I'm not a big fan of ranged cards, they have the disadvantage of not being able to attack in first position and for that reason I don't really like using them, but when I have to battle in the Going to the Distance rule, Quilliun Legionary is one of my favorite choices.
The Quilliun Legionary is a rare monster in the Earth deck, its attack type is ranged and it costs 8 mana to be used in battles. The Quilliun Legionary may not seem like a strong monster, especially at level 1, but as it reaches higher levels its usefulness increases since it gains new abilities.
In total, the Quilliun Legionary has 4 abilities and they are: Close Range, Thorns, Void and Bloodlust.
The Close Range ability is unlocked at level 1.
The Thorns ability is unlocked at level 2.
The Void ability is unlocked at level 4.
The Bloodlust ability is unlocked at level 8.
Now I will talk about how each of these abilities works in battle.
The ability Close Range allows the Quilliun Legionary to attack in first position even though it is a monster with ranged attack.
The ability Thorns allows the Quilliun Legionary to deal 2 physical damage to the monster that hits it with a melee attack.
The ability Void allows the Quilliun Legionary to only receive half damage against magical attacks.
The ability Bloodlust allows the Quilliun Legionary to increase all of its Stats by +1 after it defeats a monster. For the ability Bloodlust to be activated, the Quilliun Legionary needs to deal the final blow to the monster.
With these abilities, even if the Quilliun Legionary does not have a strong attack power, it will still be very useful in battles and it can become even stronger because of the ability Bloodlust.
I really like using the Quilliun Legionary in the Going to the Distance rules and the Keep Your Distance rule.
In the Going to the Distance rule, only monsters with ranged attacks can be used, and since they cannot attack in the first position, the Quilliun Legionary will be very useful since it has the Close Range ability and it also has a lot of life, so it will be an excellent defense in this rule.
In the Keep Your Distance rule, monsters with melee attacks cannot be used in battle, so again the Quilliun Legionary will be useful because it has the Close Range ability and will also be useful against monsters with magical attacks since it has the Void ability.
Although the Quilliun Legionary is very useful in these 2 rules, it will be useful in any battle since it also has the Thorns ability, so putting it in the last position so that it receives melee attacks with the Sneak ability can be a great strategy too, and depending on how many times the Bloodlust ability will be activated in battle, the Quilliun Legionary can become your most powerful monster in battle.
Evolving my reward cards is one of my main goals in Splinterlands currently, mainly because a new edition of cards will be released soon so it shouldn't be long before a new edition of reward cards is released and for that reason I need to evolve the current ones as quickly as possible.
