Hercule Poirot will feature in every case in this book. Twelve cases will be investigated to correspond to the 12 Labours of Hercules.

The final case, The Capture of Cerberus, is told twice, with variations.

In the new version of The Capture of Cerberus, we discover a slightly different Hercule Poirot. For example, he drinks vodka with a Russian friend, or he climbs over a wall... For me, on screen, Hercule Poirot is played by Peter Ustinov, even though other actors have played the part since him. And, actually, I can’t quite picture Peter Ustinov climbing over a wall... can you?

Dans la nouvelle version de la Capture de Cerbère, nous découvrons un Hercule Poirot un peu différent. Par exemple, il boit de la vodka avec une amie russe ou alors, il grimpe par-dessus un mur .. Pour moi, à l'écran, Hercule Poirot est interprété par Peter Ustinov, même si d'autres acteurs ont joué ce rôle après lui. I’m going straight on to the second volume, which is unusual for Agatha Christie.
One of the labours of Hercules was called ‘The Stables of Augias’, and this second volume is also called ‘The Stables of Augias’. The first volume was 418 pages long and the second is barely 126, both in paperback format. I hope it isn’t the same case, or perhaps a new version of it.

I should finish it fairly quickly, even though our schedule is quite busy at the moment and I’m likely to be quite tired, but it’s the good sort of tired, don’t worry. 🙃

I really like Agatha Christie’s books. Fortunately, she wrote a lot of them and I still have a few of her mysteries to discover.

I don’t know yet what I’ll read after this second volume, but no stress, I’ve got plenty of choice in my book stash… and anyway, I went to the book fair this weekend on 6 and 7 June… but I was sensible, I didn’t buy any new books.

Une des enquêtes des 12 travaux d'Hercule s'appelait "Les Ecuries d'Augias" et ce deuxième tome s'appelle également "Les Ecuries d'Augias". Le premier tome faisait 418 pages et le second en compte à peine 126, tous les deux en format poche. J'espère que ce n'est pas la même enquête ou dans sa nouvelle version, peut-être.

Je devrais le terminer assez rapidement, même si notre planning est assez chargé ces jours-ci et que je risque d'être pas mal fatiguée, mais d'une bonne fatigue, ne vous inquiétez pas. 🙃

J'aime beaucoup les livres d'Agatha Christie. Heureusement, elle en a écrit beaucoup et j'ai encore quelques-unes de ses enquêtes à découvrir.

Je ne sais pas encore ce que je lirai après ce second tome, mais no stress, j'ai du choix dans mon stock de livres .. et puis, j'ai participé au salon du livre ce weekend des 6 et 7 juin .. mais j'ai été raisonnable, je n'ai acheté aucun nouveau livre.
