Social Media Challenge - Elves Versus Drakoshan

Prelude
Good day to all, hope that all of you are having a good week so far and having many memorable battles in Splinterlands. Today I had an interesting match which allowed me to use one of my favourite Brawl cards because of the ruleset and also observe how both me and my opponent's lineup fared against each other when both of us used Quora but used a different bloodline. I've used Elves bloodline while my opponent used Drakoshan.

2 different bloodline with 2 different bloodline dominion abilities. Which will come up on top? Execute from the elves or that additional speed from Drakoshan will bring the advantage to lead the bloodline to victory?

So let's see how the match turn out.

Mana Limit: 47

Selection Analysis
We have only 2 splinters available for selection - Dragon and Earth. A large pool of mana is available so bigger mana costing cards to house some of the bigger mana cost cards to be included in the lineup. With the gladius ruleset, I am also expecting some of the big guns from the Gladius collection to be fielded.

So here is my selection of the lineup. I've chosen to go with Kaylia Silverleaf from Elf Bloodline. The card that suppresses opponent magic attack by 1 and also gives the elves on my side the execute ability to hunt down cards with 2 health or less. Leading the frontline is my all time favourite brawl queen Quora Towershead. This card needs no further introduction since she is a complete card by itself with heal, 2 kinds of attack and blood lust. If uncontrolled, this card can easily overrun any lineup as she chew down card by card. Supporting her will be Thanalorian Blade which has opportunity to pick out weaker cards in opponent lineup and being an elf, execute will complement well. And next will be Mad Ogre Anarchist, while it is not an elf, another opportunity card is really good. The next card is Virid Venomancer and Blackmoor Elf which will be the magic bruiser with Blackmoor Elf having extra attack with execute upon hitting a low health opponent card. And finally in the lineup will be Silverleaf Mage with her taunt and 3 range attack.

On my opponent end, my opponent used Kavor Skarn which leads the Drakoshan bloodline. Similar to me, Quora was being selected as the tank, seems like everybody loves Quora. Next in line will be Blackmoor Nymph and the headache to all flying card, Night Reaper, which is a high hitting card with very nice stats. Next is a card that I rarely see on the battlefield, Meriput Mossmender that has repair which is a good ability for this match since everyone has armour. Following will be Dragon Egg Forager for the opportunity and finally, Syrenth that has taunt and a whopping 4 range attack.

My opponent lineup looks really scary and potentially can out damage me, but is there a chance for me?

Round by Round Synopsis

Round 1 - Just when I thought Syrenth is going to be a big problem for me with that 4 attack, the relentless attacks towards it from my lineup just allowed me to clear it with ease especially due to execute that totally wear it down. Whew one big problem down.

Round 2 - The barrage from the front and also the opportunistic Thanalorian Blade ensured advantage on my end with Quora and Meriput Mossmender both falling victim to my relentless attacks.

Round 3 - The onslaught from my side continued by lost my Silverleaf Mage whom did a great job punishing hard while tanking loads of damage from the back. On to the last 2 cards on my opponent lineup

Round 4, It was just picking up the scraps in this round as my hitters gained momentum and just cleared whatever that is remaining on the board with ease. Victory secured!

Battle Summary
What I thought could be a tough match ended up with relentless assault from my lineup onto my opponent. A very strong ability that really allow strong advantage. Even when meeting cards of bigger stats, the moment health gets a little low on opponent end, my elves will just finish everything off, not giving my opponent breathing space to recover or regenerate their shield. Been loving the elves lineup so far.
