Adapting to Modern: Getting to Know Your Rebellion Core Set Part 23

Prelude
Greeting to all and welcome back to another new post on Adapting to Modern where I look at how I crossed over from playing in Wild Battles till today focusing and getting more cards on Modern Battles, sharing with the community the struggles, the strategies and things I do to move towards playing in Modern. A season just completed recently, hope you have managed to clock in a lot more glint by doing well in your rank battles.

Rebellion Core Set Cards

Similar to the previous post for this series, we will begin discussing card from the Rebellion Core Set. Using a similar method when I reviewed the Soul Bound reward cards, I will be discussing about the growth of the cards and will give a simple review to whether or not investing into them will level up your game play or not. And let's continue our review and look at another 2 Legendary cards from life splinter in today's review.

Bera Dallin

The first life splinter legendary card that we will reviewing today will be Bera Dallin. With it being Dwarf bloodline, this is a very scary card that can really elevate the bloodline. This card is like the leader of the dwarves with a very thick armour to do armoured strike (not forgetting 2 more armour if using the fire splinter dwarf archon) and taunt. When this card levels up, it gains shield and subsequently void armour. And on a bloodline ability of void is given, this effectively becomes one massive tank for physical and magic damage, soaking up all kinds of damage and allowing the rest of the dwarves to do what they need to do and strike each opponent down. A very massive card and essential card to get and add into your collection if you are able to. While it is for life splinter, the value of this card in a dwarf lineup is even crazier. Not common to see such a card that complements well with its bloodline archon.

Commander Goff

The next card we will look at will be Commander Goff. Compared to the earlier card, I would say it is less formidable unless there is close range which will greatly elevate this cards use-ability. Reason being that it cost a large amount of mana and could end up sacrificing lower mana cards to cater for it and end up they do not survive long enough and this card goes right to front position and be a sitting duck. While this card has really good stats with armour with dodge and as it levels up, it gains inspire, holy protection and resurrect. Honestly the resurrect is the only ability that attracted me as it will give a card a 2nd chance to do good. Personally while this card has quite good stats and all, I would deprioritize this card and opt to get in others with more functionality or at least until I see the human bloodline archon if able to complement this card.

Assessment
2 legendary cards that are being reviewed today of which one is way better than the other in terms of functionality and also elevating a whole lineup. And when combined with the bloodline archon, it become a beast to handle with Bera Dallin having a host of crazy abilities that complement one another.

Rating wise, Bera Dallin would be getting a rating of 4.4/5 from me. Superb addition like the chief dwarf for the bloodline and soaking in damage for the other supporting dwarves. This will be the card that one would not want to see on opponent side when facing dwarves. For Commander Geoff, this card will probably get a rating of 3.1/5. Decent stats and not too bad abilities, but with such a high stake used on a range card, might be quite a pity. If only it is a magic attacker instead of a range, then the assessment and rating would be much higher.

My recommendation will be to get Bera Dallin to at least level 2 for the shield and Level 2 as well for Commander Geoff as it will gain inspire for more value for the lineup. The cards don't come cheap so additional assessment and testing out should be done prior to purchase.

Wrap Up
Rebellion do really have good cards that are available and with Conclave Arcana in the midst of it all, synergies built amongst them will yield alot of advantage in the battlefield. The modern gameplay is evolving constantly with new ways to play considering the bloodline combinations. I like how things are moving through on the set releases and certainly hope to be able to learn more about the cards and better my gameplay on the battlefield.
