Pizza A Slice of Madness Brawl Report: 5th Place!

Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! This is my report for Pizza A Slice of Madness brawl. We are a guild that plays for fun, competitions and rewards. We play in the weekly guild brawls where we fight with other guilds for the fun challenge and rewards. This is our battle report for the week.

Overall Guild Rank: Fifth Place

After our first place rank last week, we're in a more modest ranking in this week's brawl in fifth place. We were not able to sustain our performance and finished in a much lower position than the week before. We had 73 wins while fourth and third place guilds both had 75 and 76 wins respectively. Note that they both had more losses than us indicating that they joined more frays.

Top Brawl Participants

I had an outstanding brawl, tied in 2nd to 4th place in our guild's top brawl participants. I had a 7-1 win loss record that contributed to our efforts.

Selected Games

Here I present two of the games that I won.

Game 1

The first game saw a Water vs Water game. It had an Equalizer modifier so my strategy was to put as many cards as I can without sacrificing attacking power. I decided to put two cards with no attack to take attacks. Then a two mana gladiator card was next. The main attacker was in last place, Mystic Scaleweaver was my trump card with four magic attack. My opponent only used two cards that put him at a disadvantage. They spent time killing my tanks while my attackers were unbothered. All units had seven life at the start of the game and they only killed one of my cards.

Game 2

Game 2 had an Explosive Weaponry modifier. I had a common gladiator while my opponent had a legendary one. I thought at first that I was going to lose but my team was faster and killed my opponent units before they can attack. In addition, my opponent did not have a Deflect skill against Blast. These were the edges I needed and won the game.

Spending the Rewards

I bought two packs again and got one epic card. I like to get more legendary cards but an epic is also good. This card is strong position two card with Reach skill.

Conclusion

We earned 3,556 merits and 26 SPS from the brawl. The reward is generous that we get just from joining and playing brawls. With regular brawls, it adds to my weekly SPS stake. I'm grateful to the Pizza guild for accepting me as a member and gave me a regular spot to join the brawls and earn rewards.
