I heard about Ahonex from the Splinterlands community. It's a new site that enables peer to peer trading of Splinterlands cards. I took a look at the site on https://ahonex.com/ and browsed for auctioned cards.
Signing in is easy with Hive Keychain. From there, it's intuitive to browse cards or list your own items for sale.
The listed items have unbelievable low prices. Cards like Yodin Zaku and Mimosa Nightshade are selling for more than $10 in the Splinterlands market. The prices below are probably initial bids and will go up once particants place their bids.
For listing items, I see that not only Splinterlands cards can be auctioned. Even Land plots, items (titles, totems, potions, etc.) and Soul Keep assets can be listed. There is a listing fee of 250 DEC and 5% commission when the item is sold.
The site is easy to use with intuitive controls but this is for high ticket items and high value cards that are not usually sold in the market or peakmonsters. By using an auction, the price will be determined by the market participants. Think of cards like Archmage Arius selling for $5k in the Splinterlands market. Right now, no buyer is willing to pay for its price. If this card is placed on auction then the ideal market price buyers would agree to pay for the card will be determined.
Ahonex is a site for players who are seeking for deals on highly valued cards. This may not be appealing for players like me who buy cheap cards. Also, most of the cards traded are from the old set. There are no listed cards from the Rebellion or Conclave Arcana sets. Thus, the site may also not appeal to players in the Modern Division.
Overall, the site is easy to use but appealing to whales and collectors. If you find hunting for high value cards at good deals fun, then try Ahonex.
