There's no sense in keeping a bestie of the opposite gender especially when you are married or in a serious relationship.
Your partner is your bestie, whom you forsake all others to cleave to.....period.

And to think of it, if you call someone else a bestie, that means is someone you comfide in and can tell deep things. So you then leave your husband or wife or relationship partner to confide in the bestie?
