Flamengo is the champion of the Copa Libertadores de America

Historic! There's no other word to describe what happened last Saturday at the Monumento stadium in Lima, Peru. The final of the Copa Libertadores de América was fought between the two main teams of the continent in recent years. Palmeiras and Flamengo played the duel that many already thought would be between these two teams from the beginning of the competition, and so it was.
Flamengo had a good run in the Brasileirão, and if they beat Ceará next Wednesday, they will be crowned Brazilian champions. Palmeiras, on the other hand, had only won one of their last five games and went into the final hoping to salvage the season with the title. A big mistake for Palmeiras fans. The team that chased the game won, and they showed good football from the start, so Flamengo deserved it.
Libertadores Hero has a Name
It's logical that Danilo, author of the only goal in the final, will forever be marked in the club's history, but without a doubt Flamengo could only compete in the final thanks to Rossi's recent performances. Now, Flamengo is the biggest Brazilian champion of the Libertadores with four titles. Since 2019, there have been four finals played and if it weren't for that bizarre mistake by Andreas Pereira, Flamengo could be five-time champions, but everything in its own time. With the title, Flamengo will compete in the Intercontinental Cup at the beginning of December and, if all goes well, could face PSG, the current Champions League winner.

A final da Copa Libertadores da América foi travada pelos dois principais times do continente nos últimos anos. Palmeiras e Flamengo fizeram o duelo que muitos já achavam que seriam esses dois times desde o inÃcio da competição e assim foi feito.
O Flamengo vinha com uma boa sequência pelo Brasileirão, inclusive na próxima quarta-feira, ele, caso vença o Ceará, será o campeão brasileiro. O Palmeiras, pelo contrário, nos últimos cinco jogos venceu apenas um e foi para a final com a esperança de salvar a temporada com o tÃtulo. Ledo engano para o torcedor palmeirense. O que vimos ontem foi apenas um time jogando futebol. O Palmeiras foi apenas aquilo que sempre foi, mas os placares ao seu favor, escondia a sua essência.
Flamengo venceu por 1 - 0, com gol de Danilo numa cobrança de escanteio pelo Arrascaeta. Isso foi lá no segundo tempo e apesar de ter sido um jogo com apenas um gol, não faltou emoção do começo ao fim. O Palmeiras não fez nenhum chute ao gol durante os 90 minutos e isso mostra o quanto que o time paulista não merecia o tÃtulo. Venceu o que correu atrás e mostrou futebol desde o inÃcio do jogo, então o Flamengo foi merecedor.
Herói da Libertadores tem Nome
É lógico que Danilo, autor do único gol da final, estará para sempre marcado na história do clube, mas sem dúvidas o Flamengo só pôde disputar a final graças as últimas atuações Rossi. O goleiro argentino brilhou nas quartas de final e na semifinal. Trouxe a segurança para enfrentar o Palmeiras e caso a bola fosse encontrá-lo no gol, tÃnhamos um grande goleiro para defender. Mas nem isso foi preciso porque o Palmeiras foi ineficiente no ataque.
Com o tÃtulo da Libertadores e com o tÃtulo do Brasileirão que está perto de acontecer, Rossi sem dúvidas entra para a história como Ãdolo, posto que o consagra merecidamente e já muito tempo não vÃamos um goleiro estrangeiro ter esse reconhecimento pelos seus feitos. Na minha opinião, Rossi merece uma chance em sua Seleção. A Argentina precisa dar uma chance para ele mostrar o seu valor, agora isso apenas depende do técnico Lionel Scaloni.
Retorno dos Heróis do Tetra
O time da Gávea já retornou para o Rio e como era de se esperar, sua torcida já estava eufórica o aguardo de seis heróis da Libertadores. Alguns jogadores como o Jorginho que nunca vivenciou essa experiência, agora sabe o que é ser Flamengo. O AeroFla foi apenas uma ponta do que a torcida era capaz de demonstrar seu amor ao clube. E aquele gesto foi determinante para fazer os jogadores terem "sangue nos olhos" para encarar a decisão diante do Palmeiras.
Assim como em 2019, quando em apenas um final de semana coroou o Flamengo nos dois principais tÃtulos da temporada, agora em 2025, em menos de uma semana, o Flamengo pode além de ser tetra campeão da Libertadores, pode também ser campeão do Brasileirão. Uma vitória simples ou mesmo um empate caso o Palmeiras perca na rodada, já consagra o Flamengo com mais um tÃtulo.
Agora, o Flamengo é o maior campeão brasileiro da Libertadores com quatro tÃtulos. Desde 2019, foram quatro finais disputadas e caso não tivesse aquele erro bizarro de Andreas Pereira, o Flamengo poderia ser penta, mas tudo em seu devido tempo. Com o tÃtulo, o Flamengo vai disputar o Intercontinental agora no inÃcio de dezembro e caso dê certo, poderá enfrentar o PSG, atual campeão da Champions League.
