Why I Don't Want Kids
It's Children's Day today May 27th here in Nigeria. I really don't know if it's just a national holiday or a worldwide thing. You can tell by my title that I'm not all about celebrating kids today like other normies. Infact, I don't like kids that much. I assume this is a safe space so I'm just going to say whatever. Freedom of speech ay? Hehe.

Well, it's not like I don't like kids. First, you have to understand that I don't like people that much so it's not like I hold a different kind of grudge for these little ones. I love people sometimes but I find them mostly draining. I don't have a lot of energy to deal with people so it's mostly about me and not them. It's not you, it's me. Or is it? 🙂
I find babies really cute and if all kids could remain less than 1 year old, I'd adore them forever. But no, they have to grow up and I have to deal with these little arses.
Kids can be very mean and rude, you know I'm not lying. I've come across kids that are straight-up spiteful and I have no idea why some of them have to be little demons. So what if I'm unfortunate and I get sent one of these demon babies? I fear that might be my case because I'm a good person and bad things love happening to good people.
Some people are so unlucky with their kids that no matter how much love and attention they shower them with, they turn out not alright. I don't want to be in such a situation. I'm not a pessimist but like I said, bad kids happen to good people.
Kids eat a lot for people that are unemployed. You can't even reason with them, they throw tantrums when they're hungry, and even bigger tantrums when you give them food. Like, what do these demon babies really want?
As babies, they're cute but then they piss and shit all day, just like my dog. Infact, I think people should get a puppy before getting a baby to see what it's like. It's very similar, and if you hate cleaning up after your puppy, you're not ready for a kid.
They become teens and all they want to do is take your money. You have to love them well enough to willingly give out your money to them. I now understand the stress on my dad's face each time he had to answer my money requests. These fuckers just want to take take and take. I'm already stressed thinking about it.
I actually want kids, but not now. People say you can never be ready for them so just do it already. Well, when I'm sure I'm less likely to run crazy is when I'll be ready. Don't have kids until you're mentally ready guys.

Great point. I used to feel the same, but as I got older, my view has changed. You are perfect the way you are and you are right. But please remember, everyone changes over time. That’s the way the Lord works. Beautiful post, my friend. ———as for the holiday. In Taiwan, children day is April fourth…. Which is strange. Four is the Asian number for death and unlucky. So a holiday on 4/4 is really strange. Makes one think

I am open-minded and don't mind having kids really. Just kidding mostly.
It is very underrated how rude and cruel kids can be indeed lol! My nephew's words just cut me sharply every now and then.

Omo! I completely get everything you’ve said and I feel the same way. I’m still keeping my mind open about it but it’s very unlikely tbh. I can’t deal. I’m the first child and have five siblings so I’ve had my fair share of taking care of kids and it’s not something I’m crazy about. 😅
It gets scarier each time I think about it 😄
Crazy part for me is I’m the first child and first daughter 🤦🏾♀️ wahala for my mom when I finally break her heart but she’ll live. At least my dad is gone so less headache for me 😂

I am right here thinking how I was to my parents. I know i am a good kid and my parents would testify I am the nicest person of their Kids but not favorite though.
I love kids so much but not the troubles that come with it. Imagining changing their stinky diapers. Thank God I am a man as God knows I don’t have mind for these. Though doesn’t mean i won’t help my future wife in these but I would not be doing it as often.
Nicest but not favorite 😄😄 I think the favorite kids are usually the troublesome ones. They're actually fun.
When you have them, you'd be filled with so much love you wouldn't mind their stinky shit. My dad pretty much did all of the nasty job for me as a baby and he's one to easily get irritated.
That's why I oil my hands for slaps because once you try me..you must take some slaps..

This got me cracking up....like seriously? 😂😂😂 Though I love caring for children less than one year old because they are just too cute and tender to hold and carry.
My point was when some people were blaming parents for not taking care of their children who later turns wayward. Parents are trying but the decision to be good or bad lies in the hands of the children especially when they are exposed to the outside world with social media and peer influence. So, don't always blame parents for every circumstance of children.

I never wanted kids either, at least not to bring kids into this cruel world, that was always my philosophy. As a youth my aunt and uncle provided foster care, so there were always plenty of kids for me to play with there. I was so inspired by this that even as a kid I told myself I'd adopt if I ever wanted to have a child.
Fast forward to now and I'm a stepdad, the best of both worlds. I didn't bring my lovely daughters into this world, so I'm not responsible for that, but I am doing my best to make their experience on Earth as good as possible 😂. Srey-Yuu turns 13 in a month, not ready for that at all.

I have never heard someone say they don't like kids, kids are blessing, and about being rude, it's not a kids that are rude, if you train your children well they do t be rude.

Haha should I share my experience too, for the first time I am living with kids 😅 my niece and nephew are adoring(destroying ) my life.
They don't allow you to eat, these days I use to eat chocolate, biscuits and other favourite stuff at night when they are sleeping 😜 as during day time I only have rapper in my hands 😃lol
Are you happy with their sweet (screaming ) voices 😁 I wanted to visit the doctor as I can't hear slow voices now 🤣
