The strong,long lasting pandemic still on the increase and revenging the whole world as its impacts and outcome has left the whole world in bitterness and many deficit in all ramifications. Since the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, many countries has been trying their possible best to minimize its spread the more thereby putting covid-19 health measures to ensure a rapid decrease in its spread.

The total lockdown engaged by all the countries in the whole world as a result of the covid-19 pandemic has been the core point for some economic melt down in some countries as the deficit continues rising and also these countries trying to get strong to an extent to bring the economy back to its normal state.

The recent research about covid-19 is its impact in the mental health of a human being as its role in stress,and sleep has been a thing of bad response in the patients at large.

A study conducted by Oregon State University researchers has discovered that COVID-19 patients had a 25 percent increased risk of developing a psychiatric disorder four months post their infection.source

Normally, at the onset of covid-19 virus,several changes were accompanied with its introduction into the human system but the one that drew more attention was its huge effect in the mental health of individuals. The research been conducted by the researchers proved of the abnormal increase of 25percent rate in the normal mental health of those infested which was to be from 3.0 and now increased up to 3.8 percentage rate. This area of research and much interest proved a significant increase in anxiety rate and mood swing rate unlike usual were everything was on a normal rate the researchers added.

In addition to these researches,

To accomplish this, they conducted a survey between May 2020 and October 2021 of 116 college students (91.3% female; 23.1±6.5 years of age) evaluated for sleep quality with the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and for stress, depression, and anxiety with the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21).source

In concrete analysis of this covid-19 impact on mental health issues,a survey was taken so as to get a full view from the huge breakout of the pandemic to the time were its spread was minimized to an extent as also to take a full view as to what extent it has bad much influence in the mental health and what is to be looked out for. The most looked out and from its scale was taken in the aspect of depression, anxiety and stress scale as to determine its percentage increase.

SLEEP ;

Total sleep time showed 7.06±1.65 hours, range 1-12; average bedtime 10:25 PM±44.0 minutes, range 9:00 PM-5:00 AM; average waketime 7:45 AM±9 minutes, range 4:30 AM-2:00 PM. source

Due to the technicality of the research and the result to be looked out for. The study was compared to pre-pandemic time and post pandemic time and it was found out that if one is infested with the virus, there will be a struggle to sleep, showing if one lies down to sleep the time taken for to welcome sleep will be longer when compared to the time without the virus and the time taken was of low range as the sleep doesn't last long owing the utter of sleeping patterns, durations and irregularities caused.

MDASS-21 revealed moderate to severe scores for depression (14.9±11.4); anxiety (12.9±10.0); stress (19.1±9.8). Pre-pandemic study results for Kia-Keating et al (2018) of undergraduates (n>1400) showed depression (4.1±4.3); anxiety (3.9±3.6); stress (6.0±4.1).source

Owing to the result obtained and from the analysis, the ranges provided during the pre-pandemic time and the post-pandemic time showed a great and massive change in the control of vital mental health issues which comes as a result of the onset of the pandemic and its spread in human systems. Taking a full recall of what the country was before and after the covid-19 both in economy and in health, a huge shape has been taken in all perspectives and a reshape and normalcy is been hoped and longed for.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY,BEING APPRECIATED KEEPS ME GOING TO DIG OUT MORE ABOUT OUR HEALTH GENERALLY IN RELATION TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AT LARGE
