There are times in life in which we want to give up on ourselves just because we feel like we're following the right routine but we keep arriving at the same place and getting the results which is not favourably. Sometimes we look in to our peer group and seeing our mate making it despite the fact that we keep doing the same thing.

I believe that life is unfair sometimes, and it doesn't reward us based on our efforts but sometimes with luck. If we're getting it wrong now, that doesn't mean people out there are better than us, but the earlier we realized that everything has its own time and we have to believe that our own time will surely come one day. But we have to believe, be patient and never give up.
