Welcome Hivers! All right with you? Here we are again to share our experiences with a specific monster for the weekly challenge that moves the entire Splinterlands community. These challenges are very interesting for everyone to interact, demonstrate their skills and most importantly have fun!

The card chosen for this week's challenge is PELACOR ARBALEST, well known for its ability to apply a lot of damage during its turn.

So, I will share with you information about the card and my opinion regarding its use, advantages and disadvantages.

PELACOR ARBALEST

Rare unit of the health element, it has the ranged attack type and the starting ability DOUBLE STRIKE, which I will comment more below in a separate topic. It is a monster that has as its strong point the ability to apply a lot of damage during its turn.

As we can see, at level 1 it has an average speed and low health, characterizing its weaknesses. We also have the 6 mana cost, which ends up requiring players to have some strategy and skill when it comes to teaming up.

Because of this fragility of life, we have to be careful to think about the best position in the formation of the team, because leaving it in the last position, it can be the victim of some monster with SNEAK and if it gets further ahead it could become a target for those who have SNIPE.

In battles with high mana capacity it will certainly not be a problem, but in battles with little available mana, we have to have the dexterity to know whether or not to use PELACOR ARBALEST.

PELACOR ARBALEST has a total of 2 skills.

DOUBLE STRIKE: Ability present since level 1, it makes PELACOR a killing machine and the terror of first position monsters, as it can attack twice in the same turn!

FLYING: Amazingly, even though you have wings, your ability to fly is only gained at level 5. With it, he has a +25% chance to dodge some melee and ranged attacks. Magic attacks and the ability TRUE STRIKE, always hit.

His main skill is simply to do absurd damage and then at level 5 a more defensive skill that improves his weak points a little, not in terms of life, but slightly increases his chance of evasion, thus being able to survive longer.

Obviously the health element is also known for its buffs, so we can also assemble a team that helps with increased health or providing armor to its members.

We can see that its main function is really to be a DPS in the team and when it reaches its highest levels, it becomes a damage machine, having as a counterpart an average speed and average health as well.

Best Summoner

About the summoner with the most synergy, in my opinion the choice is really to use GENERAL SLOAN, because that way, from your level 1, you will be able to apply 6 damage per round, if you hit the 2 possible attacks.

Some use, MOTHER KHALA which grants +1 health, thus improving a weak point of our angel, making it more sustainable to last more rounds and still can apply a good damage of 4 points per round, but I believe that even so, focusing on increasing damage is paramount.

Using GENERAL SLOAN, even without gaining any protection, depending on the battle rules and available mana, we can use other units in the composition that help your team, such as DJINN RENOVA*** that grants +1 health and TRUTHSPEAKER that gives your team +2 armor.

Should I use it?

PELACOR ARBALEST in my opinion is one of the essential cards for the life element team, that unit you want on your team no matter what the cost.

So whenever possible, the ideal is to try to fit him into your formation, always trying to play around the possible problems that you will face because of your opponent. With an attack power becoming so high, we can decimate the opposing team very easily.

So, prioritize this card whenever possible, take care of its protection and your opponents won't even know what hit them.

Market

Due to the recent changes regarding DEC and SPS and the arrival of Riftwatchers, the market is very lively and busy and the excitement is general. The values ​​shown below are information taken from SPLINTERCARDS.

For PELACOR ARBALEST we can check its movement in the last 6 months below. We can see that there has been a drop in the value of your units on the regular chart, which is a good time to buy some units:

It's time to show how PELACOR ARBALEST was used.

Battle Rules

For this battle we had 58 mana available and the health, death and dragon elements enabled:

The first rule of battle completely strips away any armor, be it standard unit, skill, or summoner buff, so it would be a match where defenses would be open to both sides.

The second rule is reverse speed, so whoever has less speed attacks first and is more likely to dodge.

Team

The strategy I thought was to use the health element, because I remember that there are some strong units with 2 or 3 speed, it's not ideal, but it would help. Regardless, the health element in the ranged damage boost archetype is very strong, so it would deal a lot of damage to defenseless enemies.

So my choice for summoner was GENERAL SLOAN:

My team would be:

Unit	Reason for Choice
Chaos Knight	I usually use her as my main tank and although because of the battle rule, everyone was without armor, she has the ability SHIELD which halves melee and ranged damage.
Shieldbearer	I like to put this one in second, because its ability TAUNT, forces all monsters to attack it . As such, he becomes the team's true flesh shield, taking most of the damage and protecting his teammates.
Djinn Renova	Since there would be no shields, a good idea would be to have an interesting magic damage and an ability that helps the team with +1 health, so the strategy in using it was thinking about that.
Supply Runner	Although its speed is 4 points, which is the opposite of what the battle rule induces, I put it on account of its attack that was 3 points, so even attacking last maybe, it would apply good damage.
Prismologist	It has a high damage with the summoner buff and in addition the skill BLAST helps a lot to damage the unit reached and in its adjacent areas.
Pelacor Arbalest	Finally, our star, I left it for last because I told you that SHIELDBEARER would be able to hold the opponent's damage for at least one turn and so, I would be carefree to leave PELACOR last on the team .

Round 1

Starting the game I noticed 2 interesting points:

• The opponent used TRUTHSPEAKER that grants +2 armor to his allies, but due to the battle rule that completely removes armor, this card is obsolete on the field.
• It also came with 2 cards with the ability SNIPE, so this is a good example of what we should have be careful where we place PELACOR ARBALEST, because even putting him in forward positions, the opponent with this skill can surprise and defeat him easily.

Of course for this match, there would still be other units up front to protect, so it was all smooth sailing. Showing the power of ranged monsters, in the first round, 3 monsters were already killed and victory was imminent.

Round 2

The sale ended and despite losing 1 monster, nothing more could be done. If my opponent had come with more damage, choosing another life summoner, maybe I would have had a harder time.

Even so, I would still believe in my victory because of the strategy I put together. As I say, balancing survival with as much damage as possible is always the balance we should try to balance.

Conclusion

I didn't expect such an easy and quick battle, but I believe it's the merit of planning well and focusing on the best points of the monsters we have available, as I've shown. PELACOR's attack power is very high, so knowing how to take advantage of it, battles become smooth.

A carta escolhida para o desafio dessa semana é a PELACOR ARBALEST, bem conhecida pela sua capacidade de aplicar muito dano durante o seu turno.

Então, compartilharei com vocês informações sobre a carta e a minha opinião em relação a sua utilização, vantagens e desvantagens.

PELACOR ARBALEST

Unidade rara do elemento vida, possui o tipo de ataque a distância e a habilidade inicial DOUBLE STRIKE, que comentarei mais abaixo em um tópico a parte. É um monstro que tem como ponto forte a capacidade de aplicar muito dano durante o seu turno.

Como podemos observar, no nível 1 ela possui uma velocidade mediana e pouca vida, caracterizando seus pontos fracos. Temos também o custo 6 de mana, que acaba exigindo dos jogadores um pouco de estratégia e habilidade na hora de compor a equipe.

Por conta desta fragilidade de vida, temos que ter o cuidado em pensar na melhor posição na formação da equipe, pois deixando na última posição, pode ser vítima de algum monstro com SNEAK e se ficar mais a frente pode ser tornar um alvo para quem tem SNIPE.

Em batalhas com alta capacidade de mana com certeza não será um problema, mas em batalhas com pouca mana disponível, temos que ter a destreza de saber se compensa ou não utilizar PELACOR ARBALEST.

Habilidades

PELACOR ARBALEST possui no total 2 habilidades.

DOUBLE STRIKE: Habilidade presente desde o nível 1, ela que torna PELACOR uma maquina de abates e o terror dos monstros da primeira posição, pois ele pode atacar duas vezes no mesmo turno!

FLYING: Por incrível que pareça, mesmo possuindo asas, sua habilidade de voar é ganha apenas no nível 5. Com ela, ele tem +25% de chance de esquivar de algum ataque corpo a corpo e a distância. Ataques mágicos e a habilidade TRUE STRIKE, sempre acertam.

Sua principal habilidade é simplesmente causar um dano absurdo e depois no nível 5 uma habilidade mais defensiva que melhora um pouco seus pontos fracos, não na questão da vida, mas aumenta um pouco a sua chance de evasão, podendo assim, sobreviver por mais tempo.

Obviamente o elemento vida é conhecido também por seus buffs, então assim, podemos montar também uma equipe que ajude com aumento de vida ou proporcionando armadura para seus integrantes.

Abaixo podemos observar seus status:

Podemos constatar que sua principal função realmente é ser um DPS na equipe e ao chegar aos seus níveis mais altos, se torna uma máquina de dano, tendo como contrapartida uma velocidade media e vida mediana também.

Melhor Invocador

Sobre o invocador com mais sinergia, na minha opinião a escolha é realmente utilizar GENERAL SLOAN, pois assim, desde o seu nível 1, você conseguirá aplicar 6 de dano por rodada, caso acerte os 2 ataques possíveis.

Alguns utilizam, MOTHER KHALA que concede +1 de vida, assim, melhora um ponto fraco do nosso anjo, tornando-o mais sustentável a aguentar mais rodadas e ainda pode aplicar um bom dano de 4 pontos por rodada, mas acredito que mesmo assim, focar em aumentar o dano é o primordial.

Utilizando GENERAL SLOAN, mesmo não ganhando nenhuma proteção, dependendo das regras de batalhas e da mana disponível, podemos utilizar outras unidades na composição que ajudam a sua equipe, como, por exemplo, DJINN RENOVA*** que concede +1 de vida e TRUTHSPEAKER que oferece +2 de armadura para sua equipe.

Devo Utilizar?

PELACOR ARBALEST na minha opinião é um dos cards essenciais para a equipe do elemento vida, aquela unidade que você quer na sua equipe custe o que custar.

Então sempre que possível o ideal é tentar encaixar ele na sua formação, tentando sempre jogar envolta dos possíveis problemas que você enfrentará por conta do seu adversário. Com um poder de ataque se tornando tão alto, podemos dizimar o time adversário com muita facilidade.

Então, priorize sempre que possível este card, cuide de sua proteção e seus adversários não irão nem saber o que os atingiu.

Mercado

Por conta das recentes mudanças em relação ao DEC e SPS e a chegada dos Riftwatchers, o mercado está bastante animado e movimentado e a empolgação é geral. Os valores mostrados abaixo são informações retiradas do SPLINTERCARDS.

Para o PELACOR ARBALEST podemos conferir a sua movimentação nos últimos 6 meses abaixo. Podemos constatar que houve uma queda no valor das suas unidades no gráfico regular, sendo um bom momento para comprar algumas unidades:

Já sua versão dourada, apesar de também ter havido uma queda considerável, podemos notar alguns picos de valores no final do gráfico:

De qualquer forma, o investimento na minha opinião deve ser priorizado, já que estamos falando de um card essencial em sua grande parte para o elemento vida, por conta de tudo o que foi apresentado.

Então, lembre-se, isto não é um conselho financeiro que deve ser seguido a risca, mas, acredito que vale, sim, o investimento para o PELACOR ARBALEST.

Batalha

É o momento de mostrar como foi a utilização do PELACOR ARBALEST.

Regras da Batalha

Para está batalha tínhamos 58 de mana disponíveis e os elementos vida, morte e dragão habilitados:

A primeira regra de batalha retira completamente qualquer armadura, seja ela padrão da unidade, habilidade ou buff de invocador, então seria uma partida em que as defesas estariam abertas para ambos os lados.

A segunda regra é de velocidade reversa, então quem tem menos velocidade, ataque primeiro e tem mais chances de esquivar.

Equipe

A estratégia que imaginei foi utilizar o elemento vida, pois lembro que tem algumas unidades fortes com 2 ou 3 de velocidade, não é o ideal, mas já ajudaria. Independente disso, o elemento vida no arquétipo de melhorar o dano a distância é muito forte, então aplicaria muito dano em inimigos sem defesa.

Então a minha escolha para invocador foi o GENERAL SLOAN:

Unidade	Motivo da Escolha
Chaos Knight	Costumo utilizar ela como meu tanque principal e apesar de que por conta da regra de batalha, todos ficaram sem armadura, ela possui a habilidade SHIELD que reduz pela metade os danos sofridos corpo a corpo e a distância.
Shieldbearer	Gosto de colocar este aqui em segundo, por conta de sua habilidade TAUNT, força todos os monstros a atacá-lo. Sendo assim, ele se torna o verdadeiro escudo de carne da equipe, recebendo a maioria do dano e protegendo seus companheiros.
Djinn Renova	Já que não haveria escudos, uma boa ideia seria ter um dano mágico interessante e uma habilidade que ajuda a equipe com +1 de vida, então a estratégia em utilizar ela foi pensando justamente nisso.
Supply Runner	Apesar da velocidade deste ser de 4 pontos, se tornando oposto do que a regra de batalha induz, coloquei ele por conta de seu ataque que ficou em 3 pontos, sendo assim, mesmo atacando por ultimo talvez, aplicaria um bom dano.
Prismologist	Possui um alto dano com o buff do invocador e além disso a habilidade BLAST ajuda e muito a causar dano na unidade atingida e em suas adjacentes.
Pelacor Arbalest	Por fim, nossa estrela, deixei por ultimo pois contei que SHIELDBEARER iria conseguir segurar o dano adversário pelo menos por um turno e assim, ficaria despreocupado em deixar PELACOR por ultimo na equipe.

Rodada 1

Começando a partida já notei 2 pontos interessantes:

• O adversário utilizou TRUTHSPEAKER que concede +2 de armadura para seus aliados, mas por conta da regra de batalha que remove totalmente as armaduras, está carta ficou obsoleta em campo.
• Ele também veio com 2 cards com a habilidade SNIPE, então, este é um bom exemplo de que devemos ter cuidado onde posicionamos PELACOR ARBALEST, pois mesmo colocando ele em posições a frente, o adversário com está habilidade pode surpreender e derrotar ele facilmente.

Claro que para esta partida, ainda haveria outras unidades na frente para proteger, então estava tudo tranquilo. Mostrando o poderio dos monstros de ataque a distância, simplesmente na primeira rodada 3 monstros já foram abatidos e a vitória estava eminente.

Rodada 2

A liquidação acabou e apesar de perder 1 monstro, nada mais poderia ser feito. Se meu adversário tivesse vindo com mais dano, escolhendo outro invocador de vida, talvez eu teria mais dificuldades.

Mesmo assim, ainda acreditaria na minha vitória por conta da estratégia que montei. Como digo, equilibrar sobrevivência com o maior dano possível é sempre a balança que devemos tentar equilibrar.

Conclusão

Não esperava uma batalha tão fácil e rápida, mas acredito que é o mérito em planejar bem e focar nos melhores pontos dos monstros que temos disponíveis, como demonstrei. O poder de ataque do PELACOR é muito alto, então sabendo aproveitar disso, as batalhas se tornam tranquilas.
