It's All About the Balance .:. #MyHiveGoals 2022

Today, I asked myself how the heck I have powered up so many HIVE tokens this year, and I didn't do it like that before?! Just to clarify, this is not bragging, just me trying to figure out what I was doing wrong before, to not repeat it... So, let's try to do it together...

I didn't speculate and try to reach the bottom price of ANY token... Instead of doing that, I found a specific price (which was comfortable for me) and began BUYING or SELLING specific tokens... It is a kind of DCA-ing into some token or going OUT of it... I would do it in steps as the price would go in the right direction (under my price, or over it)...

I took profits, regardless of the price - This is probably connected to the first point, but with some other things, too... This year, I have decided to create a ROUTINE and exchange some "layer 2" tokens regardless of the price... So, no top, no bottom, just every day/week exchange of tokens into HIVE... After doing that, I would part of the "profits" put back into the diesel pool, paired with the original token... For example, I would exchange half of my SPS tokens for SWAP.HIVE and add liquidity into the diesel pool... In that way, I "took" some profits, and I'm still earning both tokens with exchange fees + earning SPS tokens inside Splinterlands...

I didn't FOMO as much as I did before - This was probably one of the crucial differences before NOW and THEN... Also, I have to admit that I'm not immune to the hype at all... Recently, I was tempted to buy an SL license to earn more passive income, but luckily, I didn't do that but rather invested in some other part inside the SL... I mean, it wouldn't be the end of the world if I have done it, but in my opinion, the way that I have picked will be more profitable...

Bear market triggered my RISK-OFF button - Going into "no-risk" mode, I stayed away from buying new tokens, shitcoins, or anything that was coming out that had a lack of originality... We had plenty of new tokens, but most of them that I saw were just copies of existing tokens... Nothing new, and the worst thing is that they would copy tokens that didn't perform well... Why would the new one be different??

I suppose that I could list more things here, but the #MyHiveGoals post would lose its purpose and focus... So, maybe next time... Oh, yes... Nothing of this is financial advice, this is just me sharing my story... ;)

Let's get back to the #MyHiveGoals and numbers for the last week... Yesterday was a #HivePUD and I did my, now regular 1K HIVE power up, which helped a lot in reaching my next big step, 46K HP! There are 3 months more until the end of the year, and 9K more needed to reach my ORCA rank... It is a LOT, but it's not impossible to reach... I have some funds in different DeFi projects, so, as the end of the year is closing, I will pull out funds from there and power up HIVE...

On one side, I'm very excited to see how it will go until the end of the year, but on the other side, I'm happy to see people being inspired by these posts and doing the same! The main point of these #MyHiveGoals posts is to keep me motivated and focused on my goals, but it's great to see that other people are jumping on the train, doing their HIVE goals posts! That's just awesome! Thanks, guys for all your support and I hope that we are doing it right by powering up in these "bearish" days...

October started and my LEO Power goal is again filled with white color which means another race to reach the monthly goal... I did that in the previous months, so I suppose that I will do it this month too... In the last 7 days, I have staked only 22 LEO tokens, but I will do better next week... :)

Like I said in the last report, the WORKERBEE whales stopped selling their tokens and price responded... It went up a lot and it is too far from my "buying zone"... For now, I'm sitting on my hands, waiting for the next "whale drop"... :)

On the other side, the BEE price is pretty steady in the last 4-5 weeks, or to be more exact, from the moment that BEE tokens have been removed from "rewards pools" on diesel pools... It looks that that was a clever move... Slowly growing my stake and taking some profits at the same time...

GAMING GOALS

The new month means new cards in the RISING STAR game that I play... I didn't open packs after the launch of new cards but will do it probably tomorrow... Anyways, I have added 102 cards to my collection in the last 7 days...

I mentioned in the last report that my SPS tokens goal will probably be "ungreened" as I'm unstaking part of my tokens... After every week, I exchange half of the unstaked SPS tokens into SWAP.HIVE and put both to the diesel pool, providing liquidity (as I stated at the beginning of this post)... So, the number that you see inside the table is my staked SPS + SPS tokens inside the diesel pool...

If the price of the SPS tokens goes down, I will have more of them inside the diesel pool, but less HIVE... I don't care about that at the moment as I like both tokens and any scenario is a win... :)
