Carnivore Meal Prepping

I've shared multiple posts about my carnivore lifestyle and the multitude of benefits it has enhanced my life with. Recently, on vacation, I went off the rails pretty bad with regards to ingesting carbs and processed sugars and I regretted it almost instantly. There was an almost immediate onset of depression, fatigue, inflammation, and other ailments.

So to remedy this, I went back to a fairly strict carnivore eliminating almost everything except meat and water with a small amount of cheese. After about a day or so I'm back to feeling in top condition and wanted to share today's meal prep to get me through work the next few days.

Anyone who has tried changing their eating habits can attest to the difficulty in doing so for a myriad of reasons and I have found the key for me was to be meal prep as much as possible so I never have to go "looking" for food. It seems that is where I get into a bit of trouble.

So today was a combination of 5 ribeyes, two feta cheeseburgers, and 5 Italian sausage with stuffed provolone and romano cheese. Unlike some carnivores, I have no issues using seasonings and the above picture features the seasonings used for this prep. I used garlic powder, Kinder's burger, and black pepper for the burgers and sausage and the Montreal, Kinder's Buttery Steak, and black pepper for the steaks. The meat was marinated in Dale's steak seasoning and a GENEROUS heaping of minced garlic.

I ate the burgers and three of the sausage for lunch (my only meal for today) and I split three of the ribeyes and two sausages into containers for the next two days of lunch at work. The remaining two steaks are for my wife to use as she wants. I'll cook up another batch of meals on Friday.

The above picture is of today's lunch meal and it was so much better than any picture could do justice to. I had gotten back to eating two meals a day but with the severe reactions to the vacation food, I decided to go back to OMAD (one meal a day) for a bit for the benefits associated with intermittent fasting.

Now I am just sitting here drinking my afternoon coffee and getting my mind right to attend jiu jitsu and take my beatings tonight lololol Thanks so much for reading my post and remember that I love each of you and you all deserve someone to look at you the way I do a ribeye!!!

I was just showing this to my bf who seems to be having these episodes again of food nagging him. I think he'd be able to go carnivore but I sure can't :) I'd lean more towards vegetarian then..

Your pictures always make me want to eat meat though :D

LOL that's a pretty good compliment if they make you want to eat meat! lol

It has been such a blessing for me, but I know it's not for everyone.

Yeah I've personally noticed that my body doesn't handle a lot of meat very well, on top of that (even though it's defo MUCH better than in Hungary so far) I don't like that many types of meat much and I'd be fed up eating the same thing. I do lean towards trying that fasting again, as I remember it indeed made me feel much more energetic. and then maybe combined with a few days of vegetarian as I know I can defo keep up with that. But I don't know if the combi is good, still need to read into it. Too much still to take care of so for now, I'll do with our diet as is lol.

Ok I'm only speaking from MY perspective as food is a very very personal choice. In my opinion, there is no such thing as "clean" or "good" carbs. My body is very sensitive to them and they cause tons and tons of inflammation for me. I only get incidental carbs and never try to ingest them unless I'm doing so knowing full well it is a cheat meal and I regret it almost immediately and almost every time lololol

As far a price goes. I do really really well eating OMAD, but occasionally I get hungry and eat two meals a day. For me, cutting out all the junk and carbs balanced out basically what I'm spending on meat. I also watch the weekly Publix ads (not sure if you have them where you are) and buy ribebyes on sale and stock up on them. I've also been talking to local ranchers to see about buying a half cow to have processed. I also add in cheaper cuts of meat such as variations on meals using hamburger and I supplement a decent amount with eggs.

If you are interested a great great resource is Dr. Ken Berry on Youtube and Laura Spath on Youtube. Their vids pointed me in the right direction for me to do my own research on carnivore. Also, you can find Jordan Peterson's and his daughter Mikayla's personal story about carnivore and how dramatically it changed their health.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I'm not saying I'm doing it the "right" way, but it is working for me lololol

I dont know if we have a Publix near us (we might im in the country) but the rancher/butcher prospect is something Mrs. Hellbox and I have been talking about a lot recently

I think with your inflammation I chalk it up to you listen to your body and do what works, in this case you know it causes you to fee like crap so you eat what you know will make u feel good

Thanks for taking the time to share as always brother

I dont know if we have a Publix near us (we might im in the country)

If you can find one and buy the sales it works out much better price wise than even a Sams or Costco, believe it or not.

Yes. I totally agree there.
I also eat one meal per day right now and had to modify the amount of meat vs roots in a meal for 2 months before I got my liver in place.
I am on lectin-free paleo for more than a year due to health issues.
