Business Management: It's not hard to see why people are losing their job.

I just got off the back of reading a post on LinkedIn about someone (actually a group of people) that got sacked because the company needs to cut costs. The exact person that made the post sounded quite frustrated and dejected.

Of course, that was a fairly uninspiring news, so a feeling of dejection wouldn't be out of place. The post made me feel sad for him and every other person who lost their job for one reason or another.

You know, it's not very hard to see why people are losing their jobs;

• So many economies of the world are still struggling to pick themselves up from the negative economic implications of experiencing Covid19.

• Off the back of that particular experience, ' the war' kicked off. If only you know the effect of this war on the economy of various countries.

• As if that's not enough, inflation also joined the shitshow.

I won't ignore the fact that some companies and their management tend to sack employees for unjustifiable reasons, but let's focus on reasons which are already aforementioned. Those are justifiable through the lens of Economics and Business Management.

Nonetheless, sacking someone for any of these reasons does not soften the blow in any way.

During my time in the corporate world, I got to realize that there are fewer things in life more depressing than watching someone lose their source of livelihood. So many people that have experienced this know how it feels. It gets worse when the person has so many responsibilities on his shoulder.

Some become completely hopeless while feeling like they have wasted their life on a job.

I believe we can say so much about them making a mistake by not having a business of their own or having a side hustle to fall back to in such situations, but we won't be playing that game here.

Remember, as funny as it may sound, not everyone is cut out to have a business of their own. Also, not everyone has what it takes to be doing a job and still have a side hustle.

What I thought we can do here is to take a moment and sympathize with everyone that has already lost his/her means of livelihood because of the recent economic issues we all have been exposed to. Say something nice to them. Encourage them and motivate them to explore other options.

Even after getting a sack letter, as far as you don't wear a garment of defeat, you will surely stand a chance of getting a new source of income.

Also, if you have an idea of an opportunity that can be explored by such people, feel free to share that information with them. For people in my part of the world who are willing, Hive is one of those places that offer good opportunities... Of only they will take it.
