Yup, 3 awesome years since we left the blockchain that shall remain nameless and cut our own teeth in the crypto world. And what a journey it's been so far...
Instead of reading my thoughts of the past 3 years, I thought I'd do something a little different in honor of Hardfork Day! What are 3 things I would love to see personally on the chain. These are 3 areas I believe that Hive and it's related layer 2 tokens could really see improvement in and hopefully, take us to the crypto promised land we are all hoping for.
This should be fun, hope you enjoy the 'dreams'...
More Distribution
There are some amazing token holders on this blockchain. The amount of support I have received from everyone on this chain has been truly amazing. And it's something I would love to see more of...Not so much personally, I'm grateful for it all...But I'd love to see some more power given to the 'middle class' here on Hive.
Oh boy, that sounds political Jongo...
I think thriving Orca and Dolphin ranks are exactly what this place could benefit from big time. And with every upvote you give amazing creators and community members, we are helping that become a reality.
More Support For Layer 2
Have you seen what @leofinance has been building? Threads is truly game changing and can help bring some massive awareness to this community. So please explain to me why every single member of the blockchain isn't using Threads daily? Blows my mind...
Same thing with PeakD's StingChat, sure it's not a finished product but there is no way that our litte CTP tribe should be one of the most active communities there, we have a fraction of the members that other communities do.
It comes down to supporting layer 2!
And some purists may dislike that idea, for whatever reason...But if you think people will join Hive because it's...Hive. Like @taskmaster4450 always says, people don't join Netflix for the amazing tech of AWS....Same thing here on Hive, the apps and layer 2 projects will fuel Hive's growth.
60 = 1 Forever!
I think I speak for the majority of the blockchain but...I never wanna see HBD less than 20% APR ever again lol
O.K., so we've got something very unique on chain...A stable(ish) token built on tech and not backed by fiat but actual code. This is why I'm so bullish on HBD and I have dreams man lol
Big dreams!
Seeing these whales generate 10k in HBD monthly got me thinking big...60 = 1 forever! Every 60 HBD we have in savings equals 1 HBD in monthly residual. That's the formula, now I just hope that we can maintain that because wow...That's a retirement plan!!!
So much to be excited for on chain and we're only 3 years into this stuff...
The community is strong, the development is consistent...We just need to keep growing.

I really do like the 60 = 1 you have going on here. It rings and seems like an easy achievable goal that can be done over and over again and feels like a lot of people can relate to that. Happy 3 years!

Yes in 3 years a lot of things achieved. Now we want the POS and the payment acceptance for the Hive. I think more articles I would have to pump out to support Hive in POS and the payment processing side. That would take off hive even more :)
Each time i read your post, i understand Hive better than i do . What hive has built, building is not for short time but for lasting generation.

Hive is amazing and I like the focus on trying to get more apps. It's way better than the stagnant STEEM and the distribution of Hive is looking great as well. I think the 20% interest on HBD is amazing and 60 = 1 is an amazing way to know how much you earn per month.

More progress to be made... Innovation and Gonna evolve into more Better and exciting thing in coming Year. Making HBD savings now that 60=1 per month is really impressive!!!!

You know, I didn't even realize what day it was until it was almost over and I started to see people's posts. I guess for me it was just like another day. I just show up and do my thing on Hive to grow my account and support the other's in the community! This was an awesome idea for a post. I love the point about HBD interest never being below 20% again. I'd say I never want to see Hive below $1 again, but then I can't buy more cheap! I think one of my biggest ones would be more reasonable tokenomics for the second layer tokens to make them more valuable. I think many of them had too large of a distribution and that is causing problems down the road. The SPORTS token is a perfect example.
I'm equally excited for this anniversary as well as convinced that many more are coming! Let's take Hive to the moon!

Many developments and many advances since the fork that gave rise to Hive emerged. Hive still has a long way to go, but the future looks bright for both the platform and those of us who use it frequently. What you said about more distribution, is excellent, but I would add, and better distribution. I mean, it would be great if there was a higher and better level of rewards distribution in the future for all of us minnows, that would certainly make Hive grow exponentially.
