Improper Spending Habits Ruining My Finances

Hi Hivians!

Happy New Week! I wish to share my last week's experience that I'm currently struggling to recover from. It's about my spending habit and what it resulted me to.

Honestly, I don't live an extravagant life, trust me; but what happened last week got me wondering what really came over me. It all began on Monday when the new year celebration was still booming; I spent the little money I had by buying goodies for my family members, friends and loved ones.

Actually, there was nothing wrong with the spending, but what went wrong was poor planning. Also, I wasn't able to give account to how much I spent which didn't speak well of me. Guys, I know in one way or the other you could probably be a victim of this; let me tell me what this action led me to.

What poor planning caused me:

On Monday evening after I had returned from my visitations and spendings, I began to plan my next day's schedule - knowing so well that I was to travel on Tuesday for a church program, I discovered I had just a thousand naira left with me (that is, #1000 Nigerian currency). This was when I knew it was done to me that I won't be able to go where I planned; I had to get a loan to travel because of how important the program was.

If I had planned my spendings well I believe this wouldn't have happened. So, proper planning saves us from debts and organizes our financial life.

Yay!
You are absolutely right, friend.
Just like the adage: if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
