It has been quite a while ago since I joined @davidesimoncini's Photochain Challenge.
The two subjects are often quite difficult to combine for me 😃

But this weeks subjects were just perfect; Ruins & Foliage.

I did have to dig quite deep in my archives, but I found the images I was looking for.
These photos are from a city trip to the beautiful city of Rome my wife and I made way back in 2013 (I'm really getting old 😂).

And what better ruin to choose that the king of all ruins; the Colosseum?

Although it seems quite intact from one side, it used to be even bigger than it is now. There was even another ring on top of it.

And when you see it from the inside, you certainly notice it's a ruin.

My subject for the next round will be ARCH.
