A walk in Parco fluviale dell’Elsa

Were spending our holiday in Italy this year and it's very hot with temperatures around 35 degrees Celsius.
On the campsite we got a recommendation to visit Parco fluviale dell’Elsa since there is a waterfall.

The route in Parco fluviale dell’Elsa is 4 kilometers long and leads through a gorge with a waterfall. It isn't a real natural waterfall since they redirected the water through the gorge. But that doesn't make it less pretty.

Every now and then you have to cross the water via these stepping stone bridges.

And the stream has lots of small and larger waterfalls.

The water has such a pretty colour blue.

All along the trail you have these beautifull seethroughs.

We paused for a bit on the banks, so I had the time to play a bit with longer shutterspeeds. I love it how it gives the water this 'glassy' look.

And of course, we went for a swim. It was a bit cold at the start, but really nice e and refreshing.

And if you think we were alone on this wonderful spot...unfortunately not 😃

But since the trail is 4 km long you can always find a nice and quiet place somewhere along the route.

I hope you enjoyed my #wednesdaywalk

Nice place. We have been in Italy as well, one week ago with this hot temperature. The rivers there, where we have been,, was nearly dried out. Where did you find this full river in Italy?

Thanks. It's near Siena. As I mentioned in the blog the water is pumped through the gorge.

Thanks!
This was the most crowded spot. A bit further down the stream there were way less people.

Good, it's always awful to try to get in nature only to find out it's more crowded than the store 😂
