Welcome to this week's new CineTV Community Newspaper. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend? Now let's sit back and relax a bit with our weekly newspaper!

CINE COMMUNITY UPDATE

Have you seen our latest writing prompt on Twitter? All you get is a "Keyword".

It's up to you to swing a phenomenal blog online. Which movie(s), or movie memories do you think of when you hear the keywords. The last is:

Royals

If you'd like to find the other writing prompts to see if there's anything you're interested in, I'd like to refer you to our Twitter account .

Let's move on to our Contest!

CINE CONTEST UPDATE

This week @caulderfreeman has put an excellent and very interesting contest This week we're looking for te ONE movie you would find in a magical way on a deserted island

Imagine you are on that deserted island. And you magically have the opportunity to watch ONE movie. This will never change in another movie, the only movie you can watch until you get rescued will be that one movie. Which movie would that be for you? Please tell us which movie you would watch. And why that one movie. What would that one movie make for you THE movie you would watch over and over again? Think about this carefully, because you don't know if you're ever going to be saved, and you don't want to be bored with the only movie you can watch after a while.. The submission deadline is 6th September, 2022, 11:59 PM, UTC time.

As you know by now, We love to read your personal stories, not only blogs written for the contest. Why is that one movie or series so special to you? What impact has it had on you? Did a movie or series change your mind about certain things? Just to name a few examples.

Now that we said that, let's move on!

The second week of our new item "Movie STAR of the Week" is over. This week we had some interesting blogs about Harrison Ford. I only miss the extensive comments! You don't necessarily have to write a blog if you don't feel like it. It's fun, but I'm definitely also looking for the more extensive comments that make me laugh or that can make me shed a tear because of the emotion that is processed in the comment. I'm not looking for a movie STAR of the week life. I am looking for YOUR emotions.

Now that that has been underlined once again, we can say that this week went a bit better than last week. I appreciate the effort you take!

This week there was 200 CINE to give away. We had 3 comments directly related to Harrison Ford that also gave a little glimpse into WHY these people thought Harrison was a good actor. In addition, two people were inspired enough to write a blog dedicated to Harrison. That makes a total of 5 people entering for the 200 CINE to be given away. Now to motivate everyone to keep participating, I have decided to reward all five people who made the effort this week with 40 CINE, which will be credited to their wallets later today.

Thank you:

For your comments!

Also thank you:

And then we quickly move on to the new actor who is our Movie STAR of the week this week.

Our new Movie STAR of the week has an impressive pedigree, but he chose NOT to use it to his own advantage. He chose a name change early in his career to avoid being accused of NEPOTISM. And also without using his well-known surname, but going through life with a surname chosen because of a comic book hero, he has become a very successful actor.

In order to empathize with his roles, he is also willing to suffer some pain, as proved in 1984 when he had a tooth extracted without anesthetic. Not because the tooth was not good, but to prepare itself well for the role it had to play.

We have seen him in a role as a suicidal alcoholic, as well as an exotic animal dealer. He also managed to turn Cher's head in the movie MOONSTRUCK.

The real film connoisseur will now know that we are talking about NICHOLAS CAGE.

So come on and let me know what you think of when you hear the name:

NICHOLAS CAGE.

Source WIKIPEDIA

Now it's up to you! Leave a comment with your own thoughts, opinions, ideas of Nicholas Cage, for a chance to win some extra juicy CINE tokens. We're hoping to give away 100 CINE for this week. If you're feeling very inspired... write a blog for maybe a bonus.

Please try to make it personal! The filmography and biography of the actors is something we can also find very easily on the digital highway. It's there for everone to read. Your personal experiences are not!

That's the thing what makes a comment or blog stand out. And that's what we're looking for with this item in the Newspaper.

Please keep in mind that we're not going to give out the extra CINE tokens if your comment or blog has nothing personal.

If you're going to dedicate a blog towards our "Movie STAR of the week", don't forget to use the tag #moviestaroftheweek and link your blog here in a comments so we can easily find it!

As always, feel free to browse over all blogs written under the #cinetv tag. There are so many awesome blogs. We appreciate each and everone of you, who takes the effort to write up a unique, original blog with movie or tv-related content.

HONK FOR JESUS, SAVE YOUR SOUL

Regina Hall and Sterling K. Brown star in this satirical comedy. It will come as no surprise to anyone that not everything goes smoothly in their church. A scandal threatens to throw a spanner in the works and the couple will have to pull out all the stops to regain the trust of the community.

PINOCCHIO

Who doesn't know the story? This is a movie story that needs no introduction for anyone. This classic is timeless and Disney has revived it. Tom Hanks puts on a fantastic role and Pinocchio is alive again!

BRAHMASTRA PART ONE | SHIVA

In the first part, we dive into the legendary mythology of India. We get to experience spectacular visual effects like you've never seen before and we're introduced to the God Shiva.

Shiva, in turn, must discover that the fate of the entire world depends on him. He will have to fight, fight for ONE goal. The goal is BrahmAstra!

MOVIE & CELEBRITY GOSSIPS

One of my favorite parts of the weekly newspaper. The juicy gossip! I can't help it, I think it's one of the "guilty pleasures", which I will never admit after today. Because like everyone else, I always pretend that I'm not interested in that at all.

  • She is now 84 years old. And still active. We're talking about Jane Fonda here, of course! Although her age doesn't stop her from acting, we've seen that in the successful Netflix series Grace and Frankie in recent years, there are other things going on with Jane at the moment. Last week it was announced that Jane is currently undergoing treatments for lymphoma.

Through her instagram, the actress says that her cancer can be treated well and that she also withstands the treatments well. That she feels lucky to have access to good care and that she realizes how privileged she is with that. She also let it be known that the cancer will not stand in the way of her activism against climate change.

My respects! If you're still that active at 84, and so concerned with the world you leave behind ... there aren't many people who imitate her.

  • Then there's also sad news for Camila Morrone, and Leonardo DiCaprio. They broke off their four-year relationship.

Of course, they were already 23 years apart, which is quite a big age difference. However, according to some people, this was not what caused the breakup. But it would be the fact that Leonardo apparently does not want women around him who are turning 25 and have a wish to have children. If that really is the real problem??? We'll have to wait.

Leonardo's next girlfriend can only clarify this. If his next girlfriend is under 25, it makes you think…

  • Royal children, are also just children. They play the same tricks as other children. And their Royal mothers have just as much to do with their children as other mothers. And Royal mothers are also looking forward to when school starts again next week. So is Princess Charlene of Monaco.

Her daughter Gabriella has decided to give her brother and herself a haircut

Charlene is also honest enough to post this on her instagram, and also indicates that she did her best to repair the damage.

I think they look adorable together!

  • Anyone who always thinks that Hollywood stars can take it easy may have thought it wrong. Yesterday I read a piece about performance that AVATAR 2 actors have to deliver. For example, at the age of 72, Sigourney Weaver had yet to learn to film underwater. Hold her breath for more than 5 minutes (just do it yourself for a laugh).

However, Sigourney is still positive and is not thinking about retiring at all. She says about this herself that she now enjoys acting more than ever.

Keep this up for a while Sigourney! Fans will thank you!

Hopefully you enjoyed this weeks Newspaper!

Enjoy your week

HAVE A GREAT WEEK AND WE WILL RETURN!

We like to point out the following note about plagiarism once again!

We have an entire team dedicated to finding AND reporting plagiarism and abuse. And be warned, we NEVER will tolerate plagiarized blogs. Not in plagiarized words, nor images!

We have seen some really great posts that failed to source their pictures and so we were not able to curate them properly. Remember to only post YOUR OWN words and to properly source the photos that you use that are not your own.

Plagiarism is THEFT and has no place in our CineTV family!

Thanks...we love you all!

Hi. Congratulations to all the winners of the Movie STAR of the week proposal. This week will also be a lot of fun, Nicholas Cage is unclassifiable as an actor and sometimes you love him, sometimes you hate him, sometimes you fall in between. Connecting ideas for a post! Good movie previews this week and very entertaining tidbits, thanks for the paper, and thanks for the 40 Cine. Greetings to all.

Oh boy, Nicholas Cage played in many movies I thought were worth mentioning. One of the movies that I remember was quite shocking (to me at the time lol) was Face off. But he has such a great track record that I will probably enjoy reading other people's comments about this #moviestaroftheweek.

And I saw #Pinocchio's trailer earlier today to plan a Tweet about the release, I immediately decided I have to watch the movie once I can, looks like a fun one! Will have to check out the other two later.

awesome job on the paper, @hetty-rowan! Thank you so much for emphasizing how much we value the personal connection to the films and television series and not just a scene by scene review or a list of an actor's credits!

Sometimes I question myself why I am not interested in the behind the scenes as much as I am interested in films.

For example, I don't know most of the information given above about Nicolas Cage, but I like him and his acting. In most of his films he looks like an "ice man" for me, I like his cold stance. His appearance as the angel Seth in City of Angers was one of his coldest looking but one of my favourite films. In a film where he plays the role of the Grim Reaper, I guess he couldn't be expected to show warmth! Who wouldn't fall in love with Meg Ryan?

I can praise a lot about Nicolas Cage's acting and his other films, but there is another small anecdote that makes him special for me. Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance was shot in Turkey. We were visiting Cappadocia at that time. We had heard that filming was taking place there, but the reason for our visit was about ourselves. We had not been to the filming location anyway.

When we were taking a break at the Fairy Chimneys, we heard 5-6 girls screaming "Nicolas Cage". When I looked up, I saw him getting into the Jeep quickly among 7-8 bodyguards. This was only a one or two second view from his back. Unless, of course, the screaming girls were mistaken!

I also liked his stance on nepotism! I wish today's politicians could do that too!

Hey, a prize! That's awesome!
Thank you 😍

Now you've got me down the rabbit hole of looking Nicholas Cage films. He's an interesting actor, I think my favourite film is a sweet one - Raising Arizona - (A Coen Brothers film, I didn't know); but I'm also intrigued by Rumble Fish, which I've never seen, except for a few clips today. A friend really rated it at the time, so it's always stayed in my mind.

Good luck everyone!

It's not really a contest, call it a challenge if you like. But we want to create more engagement on our newspaper with this item, and so far I'm happy to see people picking it up.
