Who do you delegate your HP to? Update with 4 coming off the list and 2 new entries - September 12, 2022

avatar

Hello friends! This time, for the first time, I have removed some delegations. I noticed that the accounts that are exclusively curators generally make less because they only use the voting power, wasting the remaining potential of managing HP. For this reason I think it is more useful to support more those who develop ideas that create diversity and greater value for Hive, in this way it is easier for them to create value also for delegators. Also, my list was getting too long and I was starting to have a bit of trouble following everything 😁
Now let's get started!

New in this update:

  • I removed the delegation from 4 accounts.
  • Two new entries on the list which currently includes 10 different accounts.
  • I have increased the value of some delegations again, now the total used is about 380 HP.

What is this post for?

I thought it was interesting to share with you what I am doing here on Hive regarding the delegation of HP (Hive Power) with the aim of receiving daily or weekly rewards.

I am currently delegating these accounts and all of them will be used in this experimental analysis:

I am not involved with any of the accounts or projects to whom I have delegated, so consider my report as an independent way to analyze them or to verify their profitability.

Here is some information on each account and on the rewards that are distributed, also in brackets the total value of HP managed through delegations:

  • actifit (+200k HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in AFIT token. However, to send them to Hive Engine you must use their official website and you must also pay an activation fee.
    (W) Weekly payout in liquid Hive.
  • brofi (+350k HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid BRO token.
Only works if you use at least about 30 HP.
  • dustsweeper (+15k HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid Hive.
  • ecency (+1M HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid Hive.
    (P) Daily payout in ecency points, useful only if you regularly post quality content and use an ecency interface to use your points, as they cannot currently be used and sold on the Hive Engine market. I looked at it as if I used all the points in the boost tool.
I've added ecency twice so you can check the results with or without points.
  • hiveupme (+50k HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid UPME token and liquid VAULT token and liquid WINEX token.
  • leo.voter (+2M HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid LEO token.
  • lolzbot (+5k HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid LOLZ token.
  • pgm-curator (+10k HP managed)
    (D) Daily payout in liquid Hive.
    (W) Weekly payout in liquid PGM token.
  • ua-promoter (+150k HP managed)
    (W) Weekly payout in liquid Hive and liquid UAP token.
  • youarealive (+5k HP managed)
    (W) Weekly payout in liquid ALIVE token.

Others I've tried but aren't currently on my list:
curangel, hodlcommunity, steembasicincome, tipu.
If you think one of these is worth trying again please leave me a comment and tell me your experience!

Why is delegating useful?

  • To help independent and promising projects on Hive and make decentralization possible in the form of community support. Through your delegation they will borrow your Resource Credits and Voting Power for their growth goals.
  • If you have a lot of HP and don't want to be an assiduous curator, you can avoid leaving it unused and receive rewards in exchange for your support.
  • If you're low on HP, you can avoid losing your curator rewards when the posts or comments you vote don't hit the $0.02 minimum payout.

I will not go into the merits of how the HP I delegate is used, I advise you to choose not only on the basis of the promised rewards but also on the way in which your delegation will be used based on the information provided through their accounts (I invite you to visit their profile pages or their official websites to find out more). I'm reporting what I do, it's just a game to me, so do your own research and evaluation before delegating your HP. Also, keep in mind that historical results do not guarantee anything for the future.

Some information on my report:

The results come from the rewards that I have personally received and are based on values that are not always precise and predictable, so consider an inevitable deviation of error. Also, my delegations usually start at 10 HP so I can't tell you if they will work even with lower amounts.

Values are based on the 7 days prior to the publication of this post. The resulting APR (Annual Percentage Rate) is an annual projection of these values and does not include any compound interest. So, for example, with a rate of 10% if you delegate 100 HP then you receive 10 Hive over a year, about 0.20 Hive every week.

Some pay in Hive Engine tokens so I used the today's value as if I had sold them on the Hive Engine market (the price on the buyer side). I did the same when I had to convert the value of HBD or US dollar to Hive.

Some pay by upvoting your new posts or you can request to convert your rewards into upvote, so I used the author net worth of the upvote that could be received as if all rewards had been used. However, this is generally not possible on a regular basis due to thresholds and approvals but the rewards are not lost so they can be accumulated and used at a later time.

And finally here are the results for the last 7 days:

If you like, please leave a comment to tell me what you think of what I do. You can also suggest other accounts to delegate to add them to my list. I will be the only one to decide, however, if it is worth adding them based on my personal considerations.

That's all for now,
I hope you enjoyed it 😊

New to Hive? Here is what I learned to have a good stay here:

  • Do not copy/paste & Do not spam & Do not flood
  • Take your own photos or, if necessary, use the copyright-free ones
  • Do not upvote your own posts and comments
  • Interact with others & Do it in a meaningful way

Do you have experience on Hive instead? Feel free to leave your suggestions, I'm here to grow and improve.

Thank you!

😊😎🤙 Nice little experiment.

too long list.. too much money being made! :P

good problem to have.

I think I would probable drop any single digit APR from that list, unless u are delegating to them for charitable reasons..

Yes, in fact, if we look only at the performance, all those who do not reach 10% can be compared to the independent activity of being a curator. On the other hand sometimes the returns fluctuate over time so it takes a while to understand the actual return.
Btw more money more problems?! Not always really fun haha !LOL

Hey greetings, that table shows a wide variety of options that we can find when placing our stake in some project to sit back and receive passive earnings for this. Some with very good numbers and others not so much, but nevertheless it is always good to be able to make comparisons through a statistical table, the gesture is appreciated.

On the other hand, I am the director of @hispapro, an independent project that uses Hive as its infrastructure. We use most of our time in the creation and implementation of ideas to build within the ecosystem. I would like to list some of the things we are currently doing.

  1. We run contests and initiatives for the creation of original content, thus keeping those who produce content within the blockchain active and in constant motion. For example, we can mention the Hispaliterario Challenge https://ecency.com/hive-132410/@hispaliterario/el-misterio-the-mystery-hispaliterario, which focuses on Literature and on the explosion of creativity of Hive writers, that is, everyone can participate.

  2. We curate daily with our curator account @hispapro, we also do 3 live curations on our discord server. In these activities we seek to give advice, educate, correct in real time, retain Hivers with less experience and support them with healing. However Hive is constantly evolving, those of us with some experience also continue to learn and this space serves especially for that. We invite you, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays to our discord server if you want to take a look. https://discord.gg/tXTD3B6xvZ

  3. We support growing communities so they can showcase their work to reach more people, some whale or project with more curation range and they can keep moving forward with their claim to establish their niche in the ecosystem. For example @holos-Lotus, @hivefood, @beentrepreneur, @celf.magazine, among others.

  4. We also offer the opportunity to delegate our project to those users who do not have the time or simply do not want to do full-time dedicated curation. We currently have a little over 43K Hp delegated and every Friday we return 100% of the curation rewards obtained.

  5. We seek to create fun, community and innovative proposals to encourage support for blockchain with an emphasis on strengthening Hive user accounts. Right now we are developing a dynamic that we call @hispaup (The power of crowds).
Every month we seek to engage Hivers by signing up for 1 Hive, on the first of each month we hold a random drawing to choose a single winner who will receive the month's total raised in a PowerUp. It coincides exactly with the HPUD celebration which is held every first of the month. By the way, we already held our first drawing, the winner was @sacra97 and we were recognized as the best "PowerUp Helper", behind organizer Traciyork with 39HP which we transferred to our excited winner. https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@hispaplus/hispaup-powerup-of-crowds-1st-edition-esp-eng.

  6. Over the past few months we have taken the initiative to meet with people who live relatively close by. We have gone a group of Hivers in people to visit communities, go to radio stations, we also accompany events in large shopping malls, all in function of showing the benefits and potential of Hive to the world. Before writing this comment I was editing my post to show the event we did in a well known shopping mall in the city of Barquisimeto-Venezuela funded by a special allocation of Hive.

As well as that, we are always looking for ways to add value to the ecosystem.

Finally, I would like to invite you to support our project, consider making a delegation. Remember that you will receive 100% of what we get from the curation. However, beyond this is to give us the opportunity to continue advancing and growing in the ecosystem that opened the doors to blockchain technology and that has made us true enthusiasts of cryptos and its possibility to change the world we see now for a much better one.

Now if I say goodbye, I have to go edit a great video where we are building Hive. Keep in touch!

Thank you very much for your message. It was very comprehensive. Have you ever thought about activating a token on Hive Engine? It could be an extra opportunity to create engagement and greater value in the rewards you give to users and delegators 😊

Right now we are working on the reactivation of a token in the Holos-Lotus community, we follow this community closely since we participated in its foundation. Of course, all that implies an interesting investment, for now we are working with just enough.

I tell you, the token is operational, we just need to reprogram the inflation and distribution form through a comment. Right now we are waiting for a developer friend to take it and support us with it. It is a collaboration, we are in waiting list. It would be different if we had the means to pay for their services.

If you can support us with that it would be great.
