Mein Reiseblog-Canyoning und Rafting Tour im Ötztal Teil 2 // My travel blog canyoning and rafting tour in Ötztal part 2 (DEU/ENG)

Hallo Liebe Dach-Community

English Version:

Hello Dear Roof Community

Today I tell you how my tour went on, after we finished the canyoning, the next day followed the rafting tour on the INN
Again we made our way to the organizers around 10am. When we got there, there were already some other participants waiting for us, with whom we had also done yesterday's tour. We all chatted with each other for a few minutes before the guides came and got us to change.
I thought we were going to get the same gear as the day before, but I was told that the shoes were not necessary as we would only be walking short distances in the boat or on the neoprene socks. I didn't think that was so great, because I was afraid I would get cold quickly.
But anyway, let's go! We then all packed some provisions and headed to the bus that would take us to the drop off point along with the guides.
After a good 15 minute ride we were there and we could see from a distance that we were not the only group on the water, there were 2 other boats that left together with us. All together we unloaded the boat and were given various instructions on land. We were mainly to follow the instructions which were not difficult to understand. Paddle 1 time left, paddle 1 time right, everyone into the boat and pull the paddles in, etc.

After that we launched the boats together, were introduced to the other guides and the participants before it was time to get in the boats and go.

We all sat on the edge to paddle properly. Every once in a while a command would come, we were all supposed to lay back so our upper bodies were in the water. He found this very funny
4,5.JPG
I did this three or four times before I let it go because of the cold. After a good fifteen minutes I was so cold I thought my feet were going to die. At one point my feet hurt so bad, but our tour continued for another half hour, and for the rest of the ride I just concentrated on not stopping the ride. So as not to spoil it for the others. But every wave, every current brought more water into the boat and my feet got colder and colder. In between in strong currents, where the adrenaline level rose, I hardly noticed the pain, but as soon as we came into calm water, it was immediately there again and always like a hammer blow. The tour lasted a total of 1 hour and I was glad when we reached our destination and I could get out of the boat. I was so frozen through that I couldn't feel my feet and I needed help to get up and for a short time to walk as well. For me, this trip was a once in a lifetime experience that I would never do again at this time of year and under these conditions.

When we finally arrived at the organizer and we could take a shower, it got worse at first, but after a good half hour I was warmed up again and could join the others who had already fired up the grill in the garden. We had a delicious meal before we all went to the party room to finish off the last evening with a damp-happy party. We partied together until 3am when we decided to slowly go to sleep. In the morning we went back home. At 10 am the next day it was time to leave the room and check out. After chatting the luggage and ourselves back into the Mini, we were ready to start our return trip.
We were all glad to be back home, but I will be doing both again, the canyoneering up a notch and the rafting not until summer.

I hope you enjoyed this article and that I was able to give you some insight into my little adventure.
