(RP) Yesterday we had a visit from a sock peddler in LE VILLAGE.

It's quite rare and all the villagers and visitors present took the opportunity to renew their stock as they were of good quality with original colors.
Samba, my golden retriever, was very interested - a little too interested, in fact - and managed to steal a few, which she ripped to shreds, forcing me to compensate the seller.

The total number of pairs of socks sold yesterday, including those destroyed by Samba, came to 89, a good day for the dealer, a little less good for me.
I suppose he'll be talking about his good business with some of the other merchants who'll be visiting us soon.

I had organized a prediction contest yesterday to guess this number and it's @stekene who wins with 88 only one digit apart, my compliments.

There's a homophony in French between Samba and “sans bas” which means without stockings, and some villagers have been amusing themselves by putting socks on my dog, which is fun but not helpful for his training. 😀

I can give you back the participation papers, they're in my pockets, they'll surely come in handy soon.

(RP) Hier nous avons eu la visite d'un vendeur ambulant de chaussettes dans LE VILLAGE.
.
C'est assez rare et tous les villageois et visiteurs présents en ont profité pour renouveler leur stock car elles étaient de bonne qualité avec des couleurs originales.
Samba mon golden retriever était très intéressé, un peu trop même et elle a réussi à en voler quelques unes qu'elle a mis en lambeaux, ce qui m'a obligé à indemniser le vendeur.
.
Le nombre total de paires de chaussettes vendues hier, y compris celles détruites par Samba s'est élevé à 89, une bonne journée pour le marchand, un peu moins bonne pour moi.
Je suppose qu'il parlera de ses bonnes affaires avec d'autres marchands qui nous rendrons visite bientôt.
.
J'avais organisé un concours de prédiction hier pour deviner ce nombre et c'est @stekene qui gagne avec 88 à un chiffre seulement de différence, tous mes compliments.

Certains villageois ont mis des chaussettes à Samba (sans bas), c'est très drôle, mais je ne suis pas sûr que ça m'aide beaucoup dans son dressage. 😀
